The Price certainly is right this month when special celebrity host Joey Fatone returns to The Entertainment Capital of the World for an exclusive engagement Jan. 11 – April 8 at “The Price is Right Live” Stage Show at Bally’s Las Vegas.
The show, from FremantleMedia, producers of “American Idol” and “The Price Is Right” TV shows, features such fan-favorite games as “Plinko,” “Cliff Hanger,” “The Big Wheel” and, of course, ‘Showcase Showdown.” Fatone will enlist audience members to play for a chance to win thousands of dollars in cash prizes.
“I am excited to return as the special celebrity host for the stage version of the legendary television show,” said Fatone. “There’s nothing better than inviting folks to ‘come on down’ and play the same games they see on TV for money and prizes – right here on the Las Vegas Strip!”
Aside from guest hosting The Price is Right Live, Fatone is also an actor and dancer, and is probably best known as being a member of the wildly popular boy band NSYNC and being a contestant on Season 4 of “Dancing With the Stars.” Fatone finished runner-up to Olympic speed skating champion Apolo Ohno and his pro partner, country singer and Las Vegas sweetheart Julianne Hough. Fatone has also hosted NBC’s Celebrity Circus and The Singing Bee. Fatone’s film credits include “Home Spumoni,” “The Cooler,” and the popular “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” His Broadway credits include starring as Seymour in “Little Shop of Horrors” and the role of Mark Cohen in “Rent.” He and is currently the announcer for another Fremantlemedia production - Family Feud, which tapes in his hometown of Orlando, Fla. Now approaching its sixth year in Las Vegas, “The Price is Right Live” has been performed more than 1,200 times at Bally’s Las Vegas. More than one million fans have come to “The Price Is Right Live” for the chance to play and win prizes, and more than $10 million in cash and prizes have been given away. Former guest hosts for the show have included Todd Newton, Alan Thicke, Marc Summers, George Hamilton, Doug Davidson, Bob Goen, JD Roberto, Roger Lodge, Mark L. Walberg, Michael Burger, Chuck Woolery, Marco Antonio Regil, Drew Lachey, David Ruprecht and Jerry Springer, who wrapped up his gig last month.
Just like the TV show, The Price Is Right Live selects contestants randomly from the audience. By the end of the show more than 50 audience members will have had a chance to win prizes.
