Another popular Las Vegas show celebrated nine years of success on the Strip this past weekend as the cast of Thunder from Down Under reminisced about their rise to stardom.
Thunder From Down Under first debuted at the Last Frontier before finally settling at the Excalibur and the cast, CEO of SPI Entertainment, and co-owner of Thunder and producer of the show, used to cross their fingers every night hoping they’d fill the 80-seat venue. Then suddenly they did. One Saturday night the cast found themselves scrambling to find more chairs to fit into the theater because they had sold 125 tickets.
Oh how the times have changed. Today, Thunder From Down under plays to sell out crowds of almost 800 ladies on a Friday or Saturday night. The show has become international and has appeared on numerous national TV shows, including three appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Wayne Brady Show and Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels.
Thunder’s most recent TV appearance was on Lifetime Network’s top-rated Drop Dead Diva where four Thunder performers appeared in a dream sequence with Brooke Elliot, the star of the show who plays Jane. The sexy men caused quite a stir on the set and as you can imagine were a favorite with all the ladies.
While on the set the four bloaks, Donovan Lewis, David Moore, Adam Hughes and Leigh Hawira so impressed Diva creator and executive producer Josh Berman that he created a second dance number that will be seen on a Webisode and included in the Season 2 DVD of Drop Dead Diva.
“This is great national publicity for the show and certainly helps draw attention to our Las Vegas and touring productions. Thunder stands for quality in the entertainment business and specifically in the adult male revue category,” said Penny Levin, Vice President of publicity and public relations for SPI Entertainment.
With sexy, sizzling fun for ladies, Thunder is a premiere choice for bachelorette parties and the hot men from the show have made special memories for countless brides-to-be and their wedding parties. But aside from the brides-to-be Thunder From Down Under entertains women from all walks of life including grandmothers, mothers and daughters.
In the nine years, Thunder Form Down Under has been heating up the Strip, they have been awarded the AOL City Guide’s Best Adult Male Revue and have garnered dozens of awards, including having named Donovan Lewis Sexiest Male Dancer in Las Vegas in a citywide contest.
In their ninth year, Thunder From Down Under is even sexier than when they started and if you’ve never been to the Australian male revue you don’t know what you’re missing! Get there now!
