Everyone knows Las Vegas is filled with fun and debauchery, but what not everyone knows is that it is also home to several culture experiences that will have visitors feeling like they just took a mini trip around the world. On the Strip you will find landmarks from all over the world: the Eiffel Tower, the skyscrapers of New York City, and even the canals of Venice.
The first, most obvious, landmark you’ll notice on the Strip is the 1/2 scale replica of the real Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. Guest visiting the Paris Hotel and Casino can take the elevator up inside the tower for amazing views of the Las Vegas Strip. There is also a restaurant on the 11th floor. Other landmarks at Paris include replicas of the Arc de Triomphe, The Louvre, The Paris Opera House, The Hotel de Ville, and the Alexander III Bridge. Guided tours of the landmarks are available and guides will tell guests everything there is to know about these beautiful pieces of history without having to travel all the way to France.
Now come back to the U.S. and enjoy the beauty of the New York City skyline. New York-New York hotel and casino is located right on the strip and offers replicas of some of New York’s most famous buildings. Although not as detailed and not to scale, these buildings add an all-American touch to the Las Vegas strip at night. There is even a replica of the Statue of Liberty crammed into the mix. What’s interesting about these buildings is they are actually the fronts of the hotel’s guest rooms.
Another beautiful city has a home-away-from-home here in Las Vegas. Beautiful Venice, Italy has been recreated on the Strip as well. Charming and Italian opera can be heard long before approaching this massive hotel and casino, the Venetian. As visitors get closer they will feel all the romance of Venice as they see glistening canals with singing Gondoliers and picturesque statues, fountains, and bridges outside the beautiful towers. Step inside the hotel and see replicas of St. Mark’s Square and the Grand Canal all under a man-made sky. Walk the streets and watch as performances take place right on the streets of the Grand Canal Shoppes. The beauty of Italy is hard to miss while walking down the famous Las Vegas Blvd. Why travel the globe to see these famous landmarks when you can enjoy them in all (or at least half) their splendor right on the Vegas Strip.
