Sin City was swarmed with a bevy of celebrities over the weekend. From adult-entertainment stars to international musicians, here’s a quick recap of the weekend’s events:
Caesars Palace headliner and songstress Celine Dion hosted the grand opening ceremony of the new Octavius Tower in conjunction with Chinese New Year on Sunday night at Caesars Palace. Dion took her hosting duties seriously, participating in the customary lion dance where she painted the eyes of the lion to awaken it and presented it with a red envelope, a gift to symbolize prosperity.
After a sizzling night playing co-host to the 2012 AVN Awards alongside Sunny Leone at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel, former Charlie Sheen “goddess” and adult entertainment star Bree Olsen celebrated the night with an after-party at Gallery Nightclub inside Las Vegas hotel Planet Hollywood on Saturday night.
Olsen, who arrived at the Las Vegas nightclub with a large group, was in a chipper mood after her hosting duties as she jumped into the DJ booth and then onto the dancer’s pole much to the crowd’s delight.
The blonde beauty must have made a stop at the Sugar Factory inside the Paris before arriving at Gallery as she was enjoying one of their specialty Couture Pops during the after-party.
Meanwhile, Olsen’s co-host, Sunny Leone was the ultimate hostess for Vivid Vodka’s Official 2012 AVN After-Party on Wednesday at Crazy Horse III (three-days before the actual awards show). And speaking of adult film-stars Jenna Haze hosted her 2012 AVN/AEE party the night before the AVN Awards show at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens in the Paris.
In other, non-porn star celebrity news, Wyclef Jean performed at The Bank in the Bellagio on Saturday night. The Haitian rapper was spotted taking shots with friends and mingling with fans before his performance.
His set included hits “No Woman, No Cry,” “Gone Till November,” “Killing Me Softly,” “Ready or Not” and many more.
Over at the new 1OAK at the Mirage, “Glee” actress Naya Rivera celebrated her belated 25th birthday on Saturday night. Rivera, who was accompanied by her mother, brother and friends including her “glee” co-star Dianna Agron, arrived at the nightclub shortly after midnight and was escorted to their VIP table near the DJ booth. The group enjoyed rosé champagne while they danced the night away.
Also partying at the new Las Vegas nightclub on Friday night was the popular band Cobra Starship, who performed their hits including “Good Girls Go Bad” and “You Make Me Feel” for revelers. The evening also served as a birthday celebration for Cobra’s Victoria Asher. Among the partiers were actresses Jessica Alba and Haylie Duff.
