Comedian and actor Tom Arnold pulls no punches when it comes to his comedy. And Vegas guests will soon get a taste of his no-holds-barred jokes when he visits the Laugh Factory at the Tropicana September 15, 16 and 17.
The limited engagement run introduces audiences to Arnold’s roller-coaster career, his Midwest roots and Hollywood stories, of which he has many since he’s had quite the career as a television and film writer, actor and producer.
Having started out in the meat-packing industry, as well as a box stacker, bartender and bouncer, Arnold finally got his calling in stand-up comedy. His self-ambition first took him to Minneapolis and eventually Hollywood where he began writing for and occasionally appearing on the TV show Roseanne. While his appearance on the popular sitcom certainly made him recognizable Arnold’s big break didn’t come until his role in James Cameron’s True Lies.
His comic timing was put to the test when he hosted Best Damn Sports Show Period, a parody on the sports show Sports Center. In the following years, Arnold has appeared in CMT’s My Big Redneck and had roles in such films as The Year of Getting to Know Us, Happy Endings, Soul Plane, Austin Powers, and many more.
His time in TV and film has brought him several awards and accolades including a Peabody Award and a Golden Globe. He also helped put Fox Sports Network on the map with his hosting duties on Best Damn Sports Show Period.
