Big Deal: Absinthe at Caesars Palace
|
There’s nothing that can surprise the residents of Sin City anymore. It is, after all called The Entertainment Capital of the World and the name has certainly delivered in recent years. But there is something that’s hit the Strip that locals and visitors may find odd, unusual and even silly. And it is all of those things, which makes it one of the best shows Las Vegas has ever seen!
Absinthe at Caesars Palace has spent the past year captivating audiences like no other show has. Just like its namesake once-outlawed alcohol, this 85-minute spectacular will make you hallucinate, except in a good way and without the hangover in the morning. With a certain circus, carnival, vaudeville feel to it, Absinthe combines everything you love about the entertainment in Las Vegas and across the world into one eye-popping show you can’t miss! And right now you can experience it all with savings over $25 on reserved seating when you book right here on Best of Vegas.
Filled with burlesque dancers and singers, four Ukranian guys who stand directly on top of each other and throw each other with double and triple back flips, the Esteemed Gentlemen of the High Wires, a topless, tap-dancing bubble act performed by the lovely Angel Porrino, and many more jaw-dropping and risqué scenes, Absinthe consistently seems to one-up itself with wild, bizarre acts by crazed acrobatic performers who risk their lives just to please and stun the audience.
But there is really no better way to describe the wicked and wild, exotic and erotic, naughty and nice production then how The New York Times described it, “Imagine Cirque du Soleil as channeled through The Rocky Horror Picture Show and painted by George Grosz. A blend of skill, erotic innuendo and zaniness. The memorable moments make a jaded audience literally gasp.”
The show is led by an impresario named Gazillionaire (yes that’s his name in real life. He changed it legally) who just wants to have fun. And fun he has with his cast of talented misfits as they perform in the theater in the round on a stage that’s just as unique as the show. At just 9 feet wide, it’s one of the smallest circular stages ever put together under a Big Top. The venue offers a mere 600 seats and they aren’t the plush folding seats you may be used to but actual ordinary folding chairs. But with such close proximity to the stage and performers, you don’t really care what kind of chair you’re sitting in.
For more about Absinthe and all of its quirks you can find discounted tickets right here on Best of Vegas. And remember, when you book now you can save more than $25 on Reserved Seating.
