Big Deal: Mob Attraction Gives Organized Crime A Personal Touch
|
It may not be the blood, guts and gore you’ve come to expect from Halloween but dodging bullets and seeing notorious mobsters like Bugsy Siegel and Tony Spilotro come after you at the Mob Attraction Las Vegas at the Tropicana is just as entertaining and even a little scary. This Halloween season, become a part of the “family” at the Mob Attraction Las Vegas and take a tour through the city’s historical mobster pass. Along the way you’ll come face-to-face with members of the mob through the use of 3D holograms, which depict famous mobsters from the movies as well as live character actors who make the tour even more real.
You’ll also get to experience authentic never-before-seen mob artifacts, memorabilia, photos and videos all of which chronicle the rise and fall of organized crime in Las Vegas.
Your journey into the Las Vegas mob begins as you enter a re-created Ellis Island immigration office. There two FBI agents question you about your knowledge and possible links to “da boyz.” When you “swear you don’t know anything” they finally let you go and you begin the actual walking tour.
Like most Las Vegas tours, your greeted with a host to help take you through the exhibit and the Mob Attraction tour is no different except on this one you’re guided through the attraction’s many rooms and 1,500 artifacts by non other than mob movie icon James Caan (The Godfather Part 1 and Part II) or his 3D hologram rather. Caan is just the start of the celebrity guides who usher guests through Las Vegas’ storied mobster past. Frank Vincent (Goodfellas, The Sopranos, Casino), Mickey Rourke, Steve Schirripa and Tony Sirico all show up in the form of technological apparitions to guide you along.
Don’t, however expect a 3D hologram of the real-life mobsters, but what you can see from such famous gangsters as Ben “Bugsy” Siegel, Meyer Lansky, Tony Spilotro and many more is memorabilia, photos and videos of them that offer a glimpse into their life both on the streets of Vegas and at home with their wives and children.
And as if all of that didn’t make you feel like you were a part of the organized crime era, halfway through the tour, you’ll be lead you into a room that used to house the only indoor tennis courts for Mob figures in the city and before you can look around you’ll be whacked down in a hail of gunfire! Once the hit is completed the room goes black and you sit there in fear before finally moving on to the rest of the tour.
