Blue Man Group has finally made their much-anticipated move from the Venetian to the Monte Carlo and after months of waiting the wild and wacky men will debut their new show with new music, new theatrics and even a new character you have to see to believe! Tonight is the first night Blue Man Group will be performing in the Monte Carlo, and they have a few surprises up their sleeves. The show has teamed up with Red Bull and skydived into their new home at approximately 10:00 a.m. today. Members of Blue Man Group have been trained by the Red Bull Air Force and leaped from 7,000 feet above the property down to the excited crowd below! Once safely on the ground, the men headed inside the Monte Carlo for a brief ceremony in honor of their new home and new show. And that’s just the start of the excitement Blue Man Group is bringing to their new residency today! For the past two years, Blue Man Group’s creative team has been working to propel Blue Man Group to the next level of entertainment by updating, adding, tweaking and creating even more incredible acts that revolve around the celebration of art, technology and music. It seems they’ve achieved just that with their new show that debuts tonight at the Monte Carlo. Sticking to their roots, the new show incorporates the signature elements they’re known for while also introducing new characters and instruments. So what kind of wacky instruments and new blue characters can you expect from the new Blue Man Group show? Plenty! For the first-time ever Blue Man Group will introduce a female character that’s part human part robot – Showbot. There will also be an assembly-line robot, a virtual exploration of the human brain and a set of giant Smoke Drums that release smoke rings out into the audience. As far as the music goes, guests can enjoy the sweet sounds of a Neuronulum, a newly crafted pipe-instrument worn by the Blue Men. Prior to the show, guests to the Monte Carlo will get a sneak peek of what’s to come with an energetic percussive parade that winds its way through the Las Vegas hotel. Then 45-minutes prior to the show, the musical centipede, “Percussipede,” of percussion instruments, robots and puppets will entertain unsuspecting guests with outrageous beats, imagery and all of the excitement you’ve come to love about Blue Man Group.
