Casting Call for Blue Man Group Vegas: New Showbot Character
The critically acclaimed show, Blue Man Group is adding a new female character to its newest version of the show that is expected to debut at the Monte Carlo this fall.  Just like the boys, she’ll have her own unique characteristics that will certainly make her standout from the rest of the show and characters.

If you always thought Blue Man Group could use a feminine touch you’re about to get exactly that when the show introduces Showbot, the new female character that is being described as part human, part robot (hence her name Showbot.) Showbot will bring a futuristic and interactive element to the updated show.

Any lady looking to add a little femininity to the group can get their chance Thursdays, August 9 inside Monte Carlo’s Ballrooms 3 and 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for tryouts. The criteria for the tryouts is as follows:

•    Female performers with a height of 5'3" – 5'5" only
•    Small build, physically fit
•    Performers/dancers/actors with a good sense of rhythm and physical theater experience

Blue Man Group’s new production will include the same wild and wacky excitement that currently exists but with some fresh new elements. Guests should be on the lookout for robot-themed elements including an assembly-line robot, new instruments and a virtual exploration of the human brain. In addition, Blue Man Group will be getting Monte Carlo guests excited about the new production with a parade of drummers, musicians, robots and puppets that will wind their way through the Las Vegas hotel every day, 45 minutes prior to the show.

Blue Man Group co-founder Chris Wink says the new production aims to take risks and “do something different.” And if his word is as good as the original production of Blue Man Group, guests can expect plenty of new and very different ideas. The new Blue Man Group show will debut on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at the Monte Carlo Hotel & Casino.

Stay tuned for more details about the newest Blue Man Group production and its new female character Showbot. In the meantime you can catch Blue Man Group as it is and at its current location in the Venetian from now until Sept. 30 with discounted tickets right here on Best of Vegas. If you haven’t seen it yet, hurry and catch the jaw-dropping original. And when you book now you can save 40% on red and blue zone tickets!
