Celebrity Preview: Drake at the MGM Grand and TAO After-party
|
Today begins the start of Mother’s Day Weekend and if your Mother’s Day plans include taking your mom to a Las Vegas show, sitting poolside with a reality TV star or catching a legendary concert you’re in luck. Here’s what and who to expect this Mother’s Day weekend in Las Vegas:
Before taking your mom out on the town this weekend, enjoy a little Las Vegas fun sans the parental unit with a special performances beginning tonight including Drake with guest J. Cole at MGM Grand Garden Arena, Carlos Santana continues his residency at House of Blues in Mandalay Bay and indie rock band the Wombats are at the Cosmopolitan for two nights.
Then join Drake after his performance at his after-party at Tao in the Venetian. Jermaine Dupri brings his spinning talents back to Las Vegas at Tryst in the Wynn. Rev. Run and Ruckus launch their summer DJ residency at Summer Camp at the Hard Rock Hotel and Jessica White joins Maxim cover girl Dominique Storelli to host at Tao Beach.
Then on Saturday, make mom smile with a special performance by Liza Minnelli at the Las Vegas Hilton with guest Nicolas King. And while mom’s watching Liza you can catch rapper Snoop Dogg at Soundwaves poolside stage at the Hard Rock. For other pool party performances check out Snow Patrol with guest Ed Sheeran are at Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan.
Saturday’s celebrity parties begin with Snoop Dogg when he hosts his concert after-party at Vanity in the Hard Rock. Sean Paul plays double duty with performances at Tao Beach in the day and Tao at night. And for that reality TV sighting make sure you stop by Wet Republic at MGM Grand for brunette beauty Audrina Patridge as she celebrates her birthday. And lastly, Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia spins at XS.
On Mother’s Day, there are plenty of brunches to treat mom to including one at Rao’s and Restaurant Savoy’s in Caesars Palace.
And speaking of Caesars Palace, The Gazilllionaire from Abisnthe presents a preview of his show “Empire,” which if it’s anything like Absinthe will be a wild hit. After brunch and a preview of The Gazillionaire’s show take mom to one final Las Vegas performance at the Smith Center where funny lady Lily Tomlin will perform her one-woman show.
