Celebrity Preview: Wayne Brady, plus Maxim’s Hometown Hotties
|
Are you ready for 72 hours of non-stop celebrities, celebrations and fights? That’s what’s in store for you this weekend as Las Vegas gears up for the middleweight championship showdown between Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Sergio Martinez; Mexican Independence Day and plenty of concerts and comedians to keep you entertained all weekend long. Here’s this weekend’s celebrity preview:
Tonight kicks off with concerts by Silversun Pickups with School of Seven Bellls and Atlas Genius at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel. Pool season may be slowly winding down but the parties continue this weekend with Yelloman at the Hard Rock pool and Rock ‘N Roll Wine Amplified weekend at Moorea Beach Club in Mandalay Bay.
For a good laugh make sure you catch Craig Ferguson at the Venetian for two nights; Carlos Mendcia at Treasure Island and Peter Berman at Cabo Wabo Cantina at Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile Shops.
The nighttime parties kick off with DJ Tiesto at Surrender in Steve Wynn’s Encore; Avicii is at XS; Maxim’s “Welcome to Vegas” Party hosted by 2011 winner Dominique Storelli is at Lavo in the Palazzo with a special appearance by R&B sensation Miguel and DJ Bad Boy Bill is at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens in the Paris.
On Saturday, the Joint welcomes Fiona Apple with Blake Mills while Matisyahu and Dirty Heads are poolside. Young the Giant are at Rock ‘N Roll Wine Weekend at Mandalay Beach and Little Anthony & the imperials are at M Resort.
Wayne Brady is the lone comedian on Saturday while he performs his hilarious standup at the Mirage. But all eyes are sure to be on the Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Sergio Martinez fight at the Thomas and Mack Center.
Tiesto returns to the wheels of steel on Saturday night at XS while Mario Lopez celebrates his bachelor party at Tao in the Venetian along with the Top 10 reveal of Maxim’s Hometown Hotties with DJ Eric D-Lux. Marc Anthony will also be at Tao celebrating his birthday. Jermaine Dupri is at Tryst in the Wynn; Big Syphe is at Chateau; Rye Rye is at Gallery Nightclub in Planet Hollywood and Canelo hosts his post-fight party at LAX in the Luxor.
Sunday funday brings in Sean Paul poolside at Rehab in the Hard Rock Hotel; Tiesto returns for a third night of spinning at Encore Beach Club and Lil Jon is at the Nightswim party at XS.
