Hard Rock Hotel was the place to be this past Labor Day Weekend as they partnered with The Karma Foundation to present Kandy Vegas, a one-of-a-kind four-day extravaganza for the holiday weekend. And when you have a four-day weekend coupled with one of Vegas’ legendary events, you’re bound to draw in a few famous faces.
Such was the case as R&B sensation Chris Brown headlined at the famous Rehab Sunday Pool Party as reality TV star and DJ DJ Pauly D spun the crowd into a frenzy. Legendary DJ Paul Oakenfold was also at the Las Vegas Hotel celebrating his birthday at a Kandy After Hours at Body English inside the hotel.
And speaking of celebrating birthdays, on Friday Sky Blu of LMFAO kicked off Labor Day Weekend and partied for his 26th birthday at Pure Nightclub inside Caesars Palace. The singer, songwriter, producer and DJ was joined by fellow Big Bad artists Mark Rosas, girlfriend Chelsea Korka and BVillain as well as his supportive parents, Berry Gordy IV and Valerie Robenson who sat in a VIP booth directly next to his performance area.
Just after 1 a.m. Sky Blu got on the mic and welcomed the crowd asking them, “Who Came To Party!?” Resident DJ and friend Eric D Lux then switched the music to play the “Happy Birthday” song for the birthday boy. The entire club sang along as he was presented with a themed-out “Who Came To Party!?” neon cake.
After the surprise birthday presentation, Sky Blu started the performance with his hit “Party Rock Anthem.” He then went on to spin and sing his other popular songs “Sorry For Party Rocking,” “We Came To Party,” “Sexy And I Know It” and more including his new hits “Pop Bottles” and “#Sexsong.” The three-hour energy-filled performance ended with his entourage popping bottles and soaking the packed crowd in champagne while he appropriately played “Champagne Showers.”
Yesterday I told you Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps celebrated his retirement at Encore but he wasn’t the only Olympian in town celebrating and partying over the weekend. Olympic bronze-medalist Janay DeLoach was joined by ten girlfriends for her bachelorette party at Rain. The long-jump winner showed up wearing her medal and enjoyed a table on the dance floor. Ioan Grufford from the “Fantastic Four” also partied at Rain with friend DJ Zen Freeman.
That’s all of the celebrity news I have for today. I’ll be back tomorrow for lots more!
