Cirque du Soleil Welcomes Celebrities For Memorial Day Weekend
|
Las Vegas nightclubs and pools weren’t the only places welcoming celebrities this Memorial Day Weekend. Several of the Strip’s shows, including many Cirque du Soleil productions kept the stars entertained all weekend long. Here’s who hit the Strip for their favorite Cirque du Soleil show:
Singer, actress and beauty Jennifer Lopez and her new boy toy Casper Smart attended the late performance of Mystere at Treasure Island on Sunday. Lopez was in town for the Q’Viva! The Chosen Live concert at Mandalay Bay where she performed with ex-husband Marc Anthony. The American Idol judge also launched her new single “Goin In” at Hyde Bellagio during her busy weekend here.
While Lopez spent some time off from performing and watched Mystere, ex-hubby Anthony was spotted at Marquee Nightclub in the Cosmopolitan where he took in the sounds of Above & Beyond. Also at Marquee for the evening was actor Luke Haas, Paris Hilton and Brandon Davis and Paul Bissonnette from the Phoenix Coyotes.
A night earlier, film producer, director and comedy writer Judd Apatow and his actress wife Leslie Mann attended the early performance of Criss Angel Believe at the Luxor. The hilarious couple brought along their two children, Iris and Maude and two friends to see the spectacular Las Vegas show. Afterwards, the group went backstage to visit Criss in his dressing room where he signed magic kits for Judd & Leslie’s daughters.
Country singer and upcoming Caesars Palace headliner Shania Twain and her husband attended the late performance of Zumanity – The Sensual Side of Cirque du Soleil at New York-New York on Saturday. The cute couple sat front row and appeared to be having a great time as they snuggled throughout the performance.
Dancing With the Stars pro dancers Cheryl Burke and Kym Johnson certainly had a good night on Saturday when they played celebrity guest hosts at the 10:30 show of the sexy male revue Chippendales at the Rio.
Also on Saturday, fighter Junior Dos Santos celebrated his victory over Frank Mir with a post-fight party at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at the Paris. Joined by friends and family, Santos toasted the win and took photos with fans from his VIP table upstairs at the nightclub’s Saturday night party, Bazaar.
Meanwhile, Mir hosted his official after-party at Gallery Nightclub at Planet Hollywood. Despite his loss, Mir was in good spirits as he enjoyed the evening in a plush VIP booth with his wife, family and friends. He even signed autographs for fans.
That’s all of the Las Vegas celebrity news I have for today but I’ll be back tomorrow with who is expected to be back in town this weekend.
