Cirque's Zumanity Celebrates Nine Years Prowling the Vegas Strip
Congratulations are in order for the Vegas sensation and Cirque du Soleil show Zumanity at New York-New York on nine sensual years on the Strip! The sexy Las Vegas show celebrated the impressive anniversary yesterday and as it forges ahead into its 10th year it’s probably safe to say we can expect even more sensuality, erotica and pure pleasure form this hit production.

It was the London Olympics all over again as beach volleyball Olympians Jake Gibb, Sean Rosenthal, Jen Kessy, April Ross, Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser set upon the lavish Las Vegas pool, Bagatelle for the 2012 National Volleyball League “Best of the Beach” Tournament over the weekend.

The exclusive event also brought in some other big names in the sports industry as they battled it out for the title of “Best of the Beach” and the $100,000 Grand Prize. The three-day tournament ended with two-time Olympian Jake Gibb and 2012 silver medalist April Ross crowned “Best of the Beach.”

In other celebrity news, accordion-playing comedian Judy Tenuta watched comedy magician and Tropicana headliner Murray SawChuck on Tuesday. The funny lady hung out backstage with SawChuck and his assistant Chloe Louise Crawford after the show.

And speaking of Las Vegas celebrities, Bally’s newest headliner and former “American Idol” winner Taylor Hicks will return to his residency at the Las Vegas hotel beginning Oct. 17 through Dec. 16 with dates next year to be announced. The crooner is the only “American Idol” winner to have a residency on the Strip and that’s probably due in part to his love for all things Vegas entertainment. Immediately after winning Season 5 of “American Idol” Hicks immersed himself in the Vegas show scene and was spotted watching several different Strip productions. Stay tuned for more details on Hicks return to the Strip next month.

In upcoming celebrity news, Las Vegas author P. Moss will be on Hook Jaw Net Radio’s “On Air with Robert & CC” from PBR Rock Bar inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood on Friday, Sept. 21. If you’re interested, the interview will begin at 7 p.m. and will follow with a meet-and-greet with P. Moss. Moss’ recent book “Vegas Knockout” follows different walks of life after the buzz of a big fight. Moss divulges a side of Vegas tourists don’t normally see in this book that “searches for the soul in a city built on vice.”

That’s all of the celebrity news I have for today. Check back tomorrow for more!
