It promises to be one hilarious month at the Mirage when the Vegas hotel welcomes Aces of Comedy big shots Ron White and Bill Maher. Two completely different comedians will take the stage for four nights of sarcastic, political and honest comedy.
Blue Collar Comedian Ron White will take the stage first October 20-21. The scotch-drinking, cigar-smoking funnyman always dreamed of being a comedian. After serving in the Navy in Vietnam War and later living in Mexico, White decided to further pursue his comedy dream. His big break didn’t come until January 2000 when he went on tour with fellow comedians Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy as part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour.
Since the tour, White has branched out into film and television. In 2005, The WB Television Network aired the pilot for The Ron White Show, a variety show that combined celebrity cameos, cartoons and sketches. He has also appeared on several episodes of The Gong Show with Dave Attell as one of the celebrity judges. You might have also seen him in the television shows Kath & Kim, Reno 911, 12 Miles of Bad Road, and the films Sex and the City 2 and Horrible Bosses.
Political comedian Bill Maher will follow White October 27 and 28. Maher is best known for his political talk on Politically Incorrect, which aired on Comedy Central from 1993-2002 and for his show HBO’s Real Time, which he has hosted of the past fourteen years.
