David Saxe’s V- The Ultimate Variety Show 10th Anniversary
|
I have a hodge podge of celebrity news today as I fill you in on the remaining reports of celebrities from this weekend, Monday’s many famous faces including the sexy ladies who showed up at the Luxor for Monday Night Football and the Strip headliners who experienced a magical vacation at Walt Disney World ®.
Producer David Saxe celebrates his 10th anniversary of his V – the Ultimate Variety Show at Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile today. The show originally opened at the Venetian in 2002 but due to sellout crowds for the first two years, David opened his own theater in Miracle Mile. The show has added two new acts this year including his sister, the First Lady of Magic and the famous Skating Aratas.
Saxe currently has 12 shows running at Planet Hollywood. In 2010 he opened his second venue at the Las Vegas hotel, Saxe Theater, which is now home to “Vegas! The Show,” “BeatleShow!” “Michael Turco’s Magic & Mayhem” and “iCandy Burlesque: the Show.”
Sharp-tongued comedian Kathy Griffin had the Mirage audience laughing all night long at the Terry Fator Theatre after her grand marshal duties for the Pride Parade over the weekend. Fellow comedienne’s Margaret Cho and Joan Rivers joined her.
At Tao in the Venetian model Angie Everhart danced the night away with her boyfriend while DJ Vice spun for the packed crowd.
The sexy ladies from the adult show Fantasy at the Luxor enjoyed Public House Las Vegas’ grand opening Monday Night Football party on Monday. Fantasy’s lead singer Lorena Peril wowed the crowd with her own rendition of the national anthem to kick off the party.
Also on Monday, Grammy Award winning singer Luis Miguel arrived on the Strip early for the three nights of Mexican Independence Weekend celebrations at Caesars Palace that will begin later this week. He was spotted enjoying dinner with friends at STK in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
Monte Carlo headliners Jabbawockeez took a break from the hustle and bustle of the Strip this week and headed east to Walt Disney World ® in Orlando, FL. America’s favorite dance crew enjoyed a private tour of the amusement park and posed for photographs with some of Disney’s ® most beloved characters, including Mickey Mouse. Jabbawockeez return to the Monte Carlo on Thursday, Sept. 13.
And speaking of Disney ®, Disney Channel star Jennifer Veal from the hit show “Jessie” celebrated her 21st birthday with the hunky cast from Thunder From Down Under at the Excalibur earlier in the week. The adorable starlet brought along her mother, aunt and best friend to help her celebrate her birthday and cheer on the sexy performers. Veal even got to be a part of the show as the performers pulled her up on stage.
That’s all of the celebrity news I have for today. Check back tomorrow for lots more!
