Former “American Idol” judge and singer Paula Abdul toasted to the big 5-0 on Thursday with her boyfriend John Caprio, who was also celebrating his birthday and plenty of family in friends at some of Las Vegas’ hottest pool parties and nightclubs. The cute couple first enjoyed some fun in the sun at Azure Pool in the Palazzo by day and Tao in the Venetian by night.

The television judge kicked off her birthday bash at Azure where Abdul chatted about what it was like to turn 50. She said of the milestone birthday, "It's a huge birthday for me! I'm excited about it. It's a monumental birthday for sure!" The singer and friends enjoyed some fun in the sun throughout the day before Abdul even cut her own birthday cake and handed out pieces to the crowd.

After taking in one of Las Vegas’ many pool parties, Abdul and her beau joined her parents and 30 of her closest friends at Las Vegas nightclub Tao in the Venetian. The large group took over an area on the second floor of the nightclub where they first enjoyed sushi platters and signature dishes before heading into Tao’s VIP skyboxes in the main room.

While enjoying the view in the main room, the club surprised the birthday girl with a birthday presentation complete with flashing lights and a three-tiered birthday cake. Just as the club presented her with the cake, DJ D Miles flashed some of her best music videos on the LED screen and he dropped her hit “Straight Up.” The crowd immediately went wild and started dancing and singing along to her most popular song. Abdul stood up and waved to the crowd before enjoying her 2nd birthday cake of the day.

Abdul’s birthday festivities continued on Friday night when she and Caprio enjoyed dinner at the Cosmopolitan and celebrated with yet another birthday cake. Later at Planet Hollywood, she posed with her fourth 50th Birthday cake and Extra’s Terri Seymour.

Also on Friday night, 2007 Playboy Playmate of the Year, model and actress Sara Underwood hosted the party at Tabu Ultra Lounge in MGM Grand. Underwood arrived at the red carpet just before midnight where she happily posed for photographs and chatted with fans before dancing the night away inside the nightclub.

The blonde beauty brought along several of her friends and the group enjoyed drinks in a VIP table overlooking the dance floor. During the evening, Underwood even jumped into the DJ booth as DJ Eric Forbes introduced the starlet to the crowd. Underwood smiled and asked the partygoers, “Are you ready, Las Vegas?!” They certainly were as Underwood and her friends partied into the early hours of Saturday morning.
