Frankie Moreno, Rock of Ages Stars Visit Blue Man Group

Blue Man Group at the Monte Carlo got some Las Vegas headliner love this past Monday when Rock of Ages cast members Carrie St. Louis (Sherrie), Justin Mortelliti (Drew) and Mark Shunock (Lonny) took in the wild and wacky show. Also in attendance was Stratosphere headliner Frankie Moreno who watched the show with his family. Both groups attended private meet-and-greets with the Blue Men and posed for pictures in the VIP room.

And speaking of Las Vegas shows, the cast of Cirque du Soleil’s "Ka” at MGM Grand led its eighth annual parade through the hotel celebrating the Chinese New Year earlier in the week as hundreds of guests gathered to watch.

Also on Monday, Madame Tussauds at the Venetian unveiled its newest wax figure of singer, actress and producer Whitney Houston. The late singer is dressed in the same way she was during her music video for “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me),” which earned her a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 1988.

“We are excited for one of Whitney’s four amazing figures to reside in our music room here in Las Vegas alongside other music legends,” said Madame Tussauds Las Vegas General Manager Rosita Chapman.

Earlier in the week I told you Olympic champion Michael Phelps partied at a few of Las Vegas’ hottest nightclubs but he wasn’t the only hanging out on the Strip. Olympic gold medalist and speed skater Apolo Ohno was also spotted in The Entertainment Capital of the World at Andrea’s in the Encore. Meanwhile actor Rob Lowe celebrated a friend’s birthday at the newly opened Citizens Kitchen & Bar in Mandalay Bay and Jenny McCarthy enjoyed a girl’s night out at Haze in Aria.

On Saturday night, Pure Nightclub inside Caesars Palace welcomed Far East Movement for an unforgettable performance. After arriving around 1:30 a.m. the hip-hop group greeted fans as they made their way to a VIP booth located on the main stage. Once settled in they continued to greet adoring fans by shaking hands with passersby.

Around 2 a.m. DJ Virman took to the turntables and told revelers he wanted to spin some new music for them. Kev Nish then got on the mic and sad, “It looks like pure came to party tonight!” and started rapping to the new tracks. Prohgress then jumped on top of the railing on the main stage and started handing out shots to partygoers on the dance floor. Far East Movement finally kicked off their performance with hit “Like a G6.” The performance also included hits “Girls On The dance Floor” and “Rocketeer.”

That’s all of the celebrity news I have for today. I’ll see you tomorrow with more.
