Fremont Street Las Vegas Pays Tribute to Dick Clark
|
Celebrating the brilliant career of Dick Clark, the Fremont Street Experience paid tribute to the late TV producer Dick Clark last night. The event included a pictorial retrospective of the legendary television figure’s life and career in broadcast on the Viva Vision canopy screen. Yesterday, hundreds of people gathered as the memory of Dick Clark was honored and after the “Auld Lang Syne” song played it was met with an epic applause. It was a sentimental mood in Fremont Street, people shared in a heartfelt memory of an icon. In other news, Las Vegas’ hottest and most outrageous show, Absinthe at Caesars Palace, which recently celebrated its first anniversary and 500th show milestone, welcomed the cast of another hit show “Dancing With the Stars: Live” on Tuesday night.
The Dancing With the Stars: Live cast included Carson Kressley, Joey Fatone, Sabrina Bryan and choreographer Jason Gilkison. The crew watched the wild and sensual show and then hung out and posed for photographs backstage with Absinthe’s cast that included the Gazillionaire and Penny Pibbets.
Also on Tuesday, Smashing Pumpkins front man Billy Corgan partied at Las Vegas Nightclub Hyde in the Bellagio with a small group of friends. The rock legend and his entourage took over a VIP booth for Hyde’s “Lost Angels” insider night. While in the nightclub, Corgan posed for photographs with a female friend. The rocker seemed to be having a great time as he partied into the wee hours of the morning on Hyde’s luxurious patio.
In upcoming celebrity news, Paris headliners Jersey Boys will be on Hook Jaw Net Radio’s “On Air with Robert & CC” from Rockhouse Bar & Nightclub on Friday. Following the 5 p.m. interview, guests at the nightclub will be able to partake in a meet-and-greet with the cast members. If you can’t make it, you can always see the Jersey Boys Tuesday through Sunday at the Jersey Boys Theater in the Paris.
Fantasy singer Lorin Peril will debut her first single “Dance On Me” at LAX Nightclub in the Luxor on Saturday, April 28. There are 80 days remaining until 30 of the world’s wealthiest poker players compete for one of the largest prizes in poker history - $26 million! It’s all a part of the 43rd Annual World Series Poker at the Rio in July. Among the U.S. players are Erik Seidel, Justin Smith, Andy Beal, Gus Hansen, Daniel Negreanu, Johnny Chan, Tom Dwan, Jonathan Duhamel, Bertrand Grospellier, Treasure Island owner Phil Ruffin and Aria chief Bobby Baldwin.
