George Takei Attends Penn & Teller’s Show at the Rio
|
From burlesque beauties to rejects, Star Trek legends and songstresses, Hilton high kicks and double duties, Las Vegas was on fire this weekend. And that included plenty of celebrities showing off their talents and letting loose on the Strip. If you missed any of it here’s a quick recap:
Las Vegas went down under on Friday when Australian music sensation Havana Brown put on an all day performance at some of Las Vegas’ hottest pool parties and nightclubs. The blonde star was in town for a performance with Pitbull and began her day DJing at Bare Pool Lounge at The Mirage. After refueling at Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant & Lounge, Havana headed to The Bank in the Bellagio where she sang her hit song “We Run The Night” to a packed nightclub.
Also on Friday, burlesque beauty Melody Sweets from Absinthe at Caesars Palace showed off her vocal talents and fun-loving attitude during an episode of ‘On Air with Robert & CC.’ The sultry performer talked about being a part of Absinthe and debuted her song ‘Slice of Heaven.’
On Saturday, All American Rejects singer Tyson Ritter lit up the stage at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at the Paris with an explosive performance of his biggest hits. After the show Ritter partied with friends at his main stage VIP booth where he took photos with fans and even handed out shots to a group of female admirers.
Meanwhile celebrity blogger Perez Hilton tried out his best high kicks while attending Jubilee! at Bally’s Las Vegas. After tweeting to his fans how fabulous the Las Vegas show was, Hilton had to meet the beautiful ladies backstage, where they taught him some classic showgirl moves and posed for pictures. One shows Hilton with an impressive high kick! American Idol Season 5 winner Taylor Hicks joined Hilton and the lovely ladies for some photos.
The weekend ended with Star Trek legend George Takei taking in Penn & Teller’s show at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino on Sunday. Prior to the performance, Jillette’s fellow “Celebrity Apprentice” contestant, George Takei, had joined Penn for the taping of his weekly podcast backstage.
Also seen at the show on Saturday evening was Oscar-nominated actress Virginia Madsen.
Canadian songstress and Caesars Palace headliner Celine Dion recently announced the addition of 29 more performances from Dec. 28, 2012 to March 16, 2013. This news comes just days after the end of her hugely successful summer run at The Colosseum and 100th performance celebrated on Sunday. You can still catch Celine this summer with performances until the end of the week, Aug 19th. Celine’s new winter schedule will soon be on sale right here on Best of Vegas.
That’s all of the celebrity news I have for today. I’ll be back tomorrow with lots more!
