Holly Madison Debuts 1923 Bourbon & Burlesque at Mandalay Bay
Holly Madison shows off her burlesque body in a photo shoot for photographer Damir K.
It’s been almost two years since we saw blonde bombshell and former “Girls Next Door” star Holly Madison take the stage in The Entertainment Capital of the World. But on April 11 she’ll return with her newest venture, a sexy and seductive nightclub with a Prohibition-era them called 1923 Bourbon & Burlesque at Mandalay Bay.

Madison’s newest endeavor will takes audiences on a journey back to a 1923 speakeasy where the bourbon flowed and burlesque teased. The production will include a set of dancers working the room and a four-piece band playing behind a jazz vocalist. Madison has recruited Sky Dee miles of Tropicana Lounge to sing at the club and Madison herself is even expected to show off her vocals, specifically at the April 17 grand opening.

Unlike Madison’s last production, “Peepshow” at Planet Hollywood, 1923 Bourbon & Burlesque is not a fully topless revue. Dancers will not be performing striptease numbers with just pasties on. The performances will leave a lot more to the imagination, which is often times sexier than seeing the real thing. With a cozy space of just 4,600 square feet and a capacity of only 270, 1923 is not the full-scale production Madison was a part of during “Peepshow” but it promises to lure in guests just as easily.

“I’m very excited to be a part of this new project,” said a newly redhead Madison in a statement. "We look forward to introducing Las Vegas to glamorous burlesque set inside an intimate 1920s-style speakeasy.”

Hailed as a “social lounge, 1923 will offer 23 custom, barrel-aged whiskeys and 23 custom cigars. As guests sip on the Prohibition-inspired cocktails and smoke the hand-rolled cigars they will be treated to burlesque dancers who both sing, dance and perform seductive burlesque vignettes throughout the evening. Everything about the venue will ooze the Jazz Age with cocktail servers dressed in 1920’s-era attire and a motif of authentic brickwork and bourbon barrels all placed around a vintage 1920s vehicle at the venue’s center.

Said Chuck Bowling, Mandalay Bay’s president and COO: “The last year has been a transformative one for Mandalay Bay. We have introduced new entertainment, nightlife, daylife and new restaurants and bars. 1923 will fill a much-needed niche within our resort for an intimate engaging destination where guests can enjoy a cocktail, conversation and entertainment all in one spot.”

1923 Bourbon & Burlesque is located at the base of the set of elevators leading from the Shoppes at Mandalay Place to Rick Moonen’s RM Seafood and Rx Boiler Room.

Stay tuned for more details the soft opening on April 11 and the official grand opening April 17.
