At the end of May blonde beauty and former “The Girls Next Door” starlet, Holly Madison announced she would be hanging up her stilettos and saying goodbye to Peepshow at Planet Hollywood after three years of teasing the audience with her topless adventures. Madison announced that she’d continue her role as Bo Peep through the end of December, but when news broke in August that the reality TV star was pregnant with her first child; we knew it was only a matter of time before she hung up her heels earlier.
That news came today when Madison revealed that her run as Strip headliner would come to a close Oct. 21. It’s obviously understandable that Madison has decided to say goodbye a little earlier than planned and while we’re sad to see her go we’re very excited for her future. And now that she officially has an end date it leaves us wondering who will replace the bombshell. I recently reported rumors were swirling that former Playboy playmates and actresses Jenny McCarthy and Carmen Electra would replace Madison and rotate performances but now it appears those really were just rumors.
BASE Entertainment co-CEO Scott Zeiger dismissed both McCarthy and Electra as possible leads stating Electra “is not being considered” and that McCarthy’s schedule would not allow her to be a part of the show, at least not in October.
He did say that Peepshow will be “announcing our casting change quite soon” and that “this will all happen very fast. We’re having auditions and meetings, even today.” That was yesterday so we’ll just have to wait and see and hopefully we’ll hear soon.

In other Las Vegas celebrity news, singer and actress Ashlee Simpson hosted Fiji Water’s pool party Summer Soak at Wet Republic in MGM Grand on Saturday. Simpson was accompanied by her father, Joe and spent the day enjoying Fiji snow cones and posing with fans while partying inside in a private cabana with her dad and friends.
Also at MGM Grand on Saturday was the cast of “She Wants Me” as they celebrated the DVD release of the film. Kristen Ruhlin, Johnny Messner, Tenille Houston, Louise Linton, Alex Solowitz and Joel Michaely arrived at the nightclub just before midnight. After posing for photos with fans, the group took over a VIP table in front of the DJ booth and immediately started partying. The stars celebrated at Tabu well into Sunday morning.
That’s all of the celebrity news I have for today. I’ll be back tomorrow with lots more.
