J. Lo heats up Las Vegas for new film “Parker” at PH Resort
It will be nothing but glitz and glam at Planet Hollywood tonight when actress and singer Jennifer Lopez, aka J. Lo and Jason Statham hit the red carpet outside of the hotel for the Las Vegas premiere of their new crime thriller movie “Parker.” They’ve been seeing a lot of each other lately promoting their new film. Last night they were at MOMA in NYC for another screening.

Peepshow stars Coco Austin and Josh Strickland will play host to the two Hollywood celebs during their visit to Planet Hollywood. Former Peepshow starlet and mom-to-be Holly Madison is expected to make an appearance at the theater for the first time since she left the show for her pregnancy leave in the fall.

Also on the arrivals carpet will be director Taylor Hackford, ‘American Idol” Season 5 winner and new Strip headliner Taylor Hicks, UFC legend Randy Couture, L.A. Reid, Caesars Palace headliner Matt Goss and Planet Hollywood International’s main man Robert Earl.

Stay tuned for more details on tonight’s premiere event and where the stars celebrated post premiere.

In other Las Vegas celebrity news, crooner Rod Stewart resumed his show, Rod Stewart: The Hits at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace yesterday. This will be the last string of show for Rod Stewart in Las Vegas for while, because he will soon start a short US tour, then the International tour. Also around in Vegas, rapper Driicky Graham performed his hits at House of Blues in Mandalay Bay.

As far as future celebrity news goes, The Venetian headliner Tim McGraw is set to tape an all-star concert special here on April 8 at MGM Grand Garden Arena as a part of the Academy of Country Music events. Rumor has it that Tim is handpicking the stars he wants to perform and will include country, pop and rock stars, plus film and TV stars.

Part of the idea of the special is to help kick off the 2013 touring season and raise money for Lifting Lives. Tim said, “I hope I can turn the fans onto some of the best live music going out on the road this summer and really put the spotlight on the ones I know they won’t want to miss. We have a responsibility to raise money and awareness for all the good work Lifting Lives does. Last summer, they supported me in giving away a house to a veteran in need in every city we played in, so I’m excited to get my friends together to repay the favor.”

Be on the lookout for the special sometime this summer on CBS. In the meantime, you can catch Tim and his beautiful bride Faith Hill at The Venetian with their new residency Soul2Soul on Saturday, Feb. 26 and throughout February.

That’s all of the celebrity news I have for today. Check back tomorrow for this weekend’s celebrity preview.
