Justin Timberlake, Busta Rhymes in Las Vegas for Columbus Day

It’s Columbus Day Weekend and that means the Strip will come alive for three-days of comedians, concerts, parties and celebrities you don’t want to miss. With 96 hours of fun waiting I’ll jump right into this weekend’s celebrity preview:

Tonight, the concerts kick off with legendary crooner Rod Stewart as he continues his residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace; Peter Gabriel is at Planet Live! At Planet Hollywood; Chevelle is at Vinyl in the Hard Rock Hotel; Dark Star Orchestra is at House of Blues in Mandalay Bay and Foxy Shazam is at the Lounge at the Palms for two nights.

It’s worth mentioning that the Third Annual Food & Wine All-Star Weekend hosted by Gail Simmons will host interactive culinary experiences at Aria, Bellagio, MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay all weekend long.

Singer and actor Justin Timberlake takes to the greens for his last year as host of his Shriners Hospitals for Children Open charity golf tournament at TPC Summerlin. The tournament is all weekend long.

As far as the parties go make sure you head to Tao at the Venetian for the Baller’s Ball hosted by NBA star Chris Paul.

On Saturday, Melissa Etheridge is at the Joint n the Hard Rock Hotel and the Offspring with guests Neon Trees are at Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan.

The party continues Saturday night with Busta Rhymes at Tao; Nelly hosts and performs at Haze in Aria; Sanchez is at Rain in the Palms; Avicii spins by day at Marquee while Kaskade takes the wheels of steel at night; Lil Jon continues his residency at Surrender in Steve Wynn’s Encore and Calvin Harris spins at XS.

Sunday funday brings in Dirty South for a free daytime party at Marquee Dayclub. At night America’s Best DJ for 2012 Marcus Sanchez celebrates with another free party at the Las Vegas nightclub; reality TV star Pauly D spins at the Hard Rock; Encore Beach Club hosts an end-of season closing party and Manufactured Superstars are at XS.
