Kid Cudi, Kendrick Lamar, Calvin Harris Ring in 2017 in Vegas

On December 30, rapper Kid Cudi delivered an electrifying performance at Drai’s Nightclub

As always, New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas was jam-packed with celebrity performances and sightings. From rappers to DJs and everything in between, the Strip celebrated 2017 with quite a bang. Let’s take a look at who was here on New Year’s Eve.
 
The Cromwell 

On December 30, rapper Kid Cudi delivered an electrifying performance at Drai’s Nightclub inside The Cromwell. The performer sang his hits like “Day ’N’ Nite,” “Pursuit of Happiness” and more. After the show, Cudi continued to party in his VIP booth with friends. Wiz Khalifa and Too short, as well as comedian Hannibal Buress and hip-hop star Flava Flav were spotted taking in Cudi’s performance.

Award-winning musician Kendrick Lamar closed out 2016 with an unforgettable performance at Drai’s. Before taking the stage Lamar enjoyed an exclusive cabana overlooking the rooftop venue’s pool deck, where he greeted fans with a champagne toast. Lamar then led the crowd in a countdown to midnight and watched Vegas’ fabulous eight-minute fireworks presentation.  

Not long after the fireworks, Lamar took to Drai’s Live stage for a 45-minute sets of hits including “m.A.A.d city,” “Swimming Pools,” and others. He finished his performance with the hit song “Alright.” Rapper Machine Gun Kelly, Young Thug, singer-songwriter Keyshia Cole and Rami Malek were all spotted taking in Lamar’s performance. 

On January 1, hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd kicked off 2017 with an excellent performance at Drai’s

On January 1, hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd kicked off 2017 with an excellent performance at Drai’s. The rooftop nightclub was packed with hip-hop stars including Young Thug, who joined Rae on stage for a special performance of their collaboration “Throw Sum Mo.” Keyshia Cole, French Montana, O.T. Genesis, Chanel West Coast, Too Short, producers Mike Will Made It and Lil Jon, Cash XO and Floyd Mayweather were also at the venue.

Caesars Palace 

Meanwhile over at Caesars Palace, DJ and music producer Calvin Harris performed an exclusive DJ set during a private engagement.

The Backstreet Boys brought the house down in Vegas on New Year’s Eve

After his performance, guests were treated to the Backstreet Boys. The best-selling boy band of all time sang such iconic songs as “Everybody,” and “I Want It That Way.” Stay tuned for 2017 when the Backstreet Boys will begin their very own Vegas residency!

Elton John performed as his show Million Dollar Piano Returned to Vegas

Caesars Palace also welcomed renowned singer and songwriter Elton John back to the stage with his show “The Million Dollar Piano.” 

Calvin Harris ended 2016 with a high-energy party at Omnia Nightclub inside Caesars. Just after midnight the DJ  made his way to the booth for an unforgettable set.

Wu-Tang Clan rang in 2017 at The AXIS inside Planet Hollywood

Legendary rapper Wu-Tang Clan rang in 2017 at The AXIS inside Planet Hollywood. The show featured RZA, GZA, Method Man, Inspectah Deck, Raekwon, U-God, Masta Killa, Ghostface Killah and Cappadonna as they performed their classic hits including “C.R.E.A.M.,” “Protect Ya Neck” and “Method Man.”
