Labor Day Weekend Celebs From Diddy to the Mythbusters

It’s a weekend of both celebrations and goodbyes here in The Entertainment Capital of the World as we celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of the fall festivities for Labor Day Weekend and say farewell to two beloved Strip musicals.

After six years and thousands of performances, Phantom – the Las Vegas Spectacular at the Venetian will close its curtains forever on Sunday while Cirque du Soleil’s Elvis Presley tribute show Viva Elvis at Aria shuts down tonight after two years. But with shows closing comes new beginnings and that will come in the form of Cirque’s Zarkana and Broadway’s “Rock of Ages.”

As far as celebrities go, you won’t have to go far to spot a star or two as this weekend welcomes a slew of famous faces for the three-day holiday weekend. Here’s who will be doing what this Labor Day Weekend:

The fun starts tonight with a few laughs as Whoopi Goldberg brings her humor to Treasure Island and Jay Leno makes us laugh at the Mirage.  As far as new shows go, “Mythbusters: Behind the Myths Tour” is at the Palazzo all weekend.

Be on the lookout for Afrojack at Tryst in the Wynn; Tiesto and Warren Peace at XS in Steve Wynn’s Encore; Avicii at Marquee Nightclub in the Cosmopolitan; Redfoo and the Party Rock Crew will be at Lavo in the Palazzo and UFC fighter Randy Couture celebrates his 30th birthday at Tabu Ultra Lounge in MGM Grand.

On Saturday, Tony Bennett serenades the audience at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace while Ron White continues the funny at the Mirage for two nights. And speaking of laughs former NBA pro Shaquille O’Neal presents his All-Star Comedy Jam at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel with Gary Owen, Capone, Tony Roberts and Michael Blackson.

The celebrity appearances continue with Diddy at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens in the Paris, Chris Brown at the Hard Rock Pool, Travis McCoy at Pure in Caesars Palace, Ice T & Coco at LAX in MGM Grand, Pauly D at Vanity, Kaskade at Marquee, Redfoo at Tao Beach in the Venetian, Vice at Tao, T-Pain at Haze, Ne-Yo at The Bank in the Bellagio and so, so many more!

Sunday funday brings in David Guetta at Encore Beach Club and XS, Ne-Yo at Bare, Benny Benassi and Martin Solveig at Marquee, Vice at Lavo, Paul Van Dyk at Haze, Nicky Romero at Tao Beach, Erick Morillo at Tao, Pauly D at Rehab, and Paul Oakenfold at Body English.
