Among the slew of hilarious things you can find up and down the Strip this weekend will be sitcom stars and comedians Kevin James (star of King of Queens) and Ray Romano from Everybody Loves Raymond. Returning to the Mirage this Friday, April 20th through Saturday, April 21 Kevin James and Ray Romano will spread the laughs together for two nights in a show that is relentlessly funny! There’s no denying both Kevin James and Ray Romano know how to tickle the funny bone, as you’ve witnessed if you’ve ever watched their hit sitcoms, but what you may be wondering is why have these two popular comedians come together to bring their humor to the Las Vegas stage? Well, it’s simple the two are friends first, comedians second. That’s right, after years of stand-up gigs in and around New York as well as several appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Dennis Miller Live, The Late Late Show, The Rosie O’Donnell Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Live with Regis and Kathy Lee, Kevin James made the move to L.A. where he met and befriended the budding television star Ray Romano. After becoming close friends, Romano invited James to guest star on Everybody Loves Raymond. James’ recurring role was so successful it led to his own hit sitcom King of Queens. And the rest was history. During his eighth season of King of Queens, James was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. He has since gone on to star in several comedy films including Hitch, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, I Know Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Grown Ups and many more. While Romano may have helped James pave his path to stardom the Everybody Loves Raymond star had to make his own way and it all started during an open-mic night at a New York Comedy Club in 1994. From there it was a quick ride up the stardom ladder as Romano went from performing his stand-up on Comedy Central and the Late Show with David Letterman to eventually getting his own show, Everybody Loves Raymond, which still makes us laugh as it plays in syndication. Kevin James and Ray Romano are just one of the Mirage’s Aces of Comedy comedians that take over the Las Vegas hotel on a regular basis. The Mirage is also proud to present the cigar smoking, scotch drinking funnyman Ron White, “The Tonight Show” host and quick-witted comedian Jay Leno, as well as many other great comedians like Martin Short, Wayne Brady, Daniel Tosh, Lewis Black, Seth Meyers, Kathleen Madigan, and Jim Gaffigan. If you don’t have your Kevin James and Ray Romano tickets, you can still find some discounted tickets right here on Best of Vegas.
