Marie Osmond gets B-day surprises from Mary Hart, Suzanne Somers
|
As we inch closer to Halloween the Strip will become increasingly filled with some crazy characters, even more so than usual and this past weekend proved Halloween is near as Las Vegas welcomed wacky rockers, reality TV stars, scary movie stars, singers and pop star’s daughters. Here’s who you hit the Strip for parties, performances and even a few screams:
On Friday night, actress Suzanne Somers and husband Alan Hamel attended Donny & Marie’s show at the Flamingo. Then on Saturday night, as part of her birthday celebration Marie Osmond was serenaded backstage by Caesars Palace singer Matt Goss. But it doesn’t end there; the Vegas headliner and Hallmark Channel host just premiered her new original series this month, “Marie.” And during a taping of the show on Friday, Marie was surprised by Entertainment Tonight’s Mary Hart. While Marie tried to recover from the shear surprise and laughter, Hart announced her birthday in regular ET fashion and a four tier cake and balloons were brought forth. Mary Hart said Marie “Turned 29… again.” To get in on the fun, Donny & Marie will be performing at the Flamingo Las Vegas from now through November 24th.
Motley Crüe drummer and Pamela Anderson’s ex-husband Tommy Lee partied at Rain in the Palms while his girlfriend Sofia Toufa, aka SOFI performed in the packed Las Vegas nightclub. Before partying the night away, Lee and 15 of his closest friends dined at nearby N9NE Steakhouse in the Palms, where Tommy signed executive chef Barry Dakake’s “shakedown door” in the kitchen.
“Halloween” star Danielle Harris posed for a photograph with DJ Ashba, lead guitarist for Guns N’ Roses alongside Fright Dome owner Jason Egan and Courtney Gains of “Children of the Corn” in costumes and chainsaws during her annual visit to Fright Dome at Circus Circus. The group visited all five haunted houses, rode the Adventuredome rides and met with the creepy cast of the top-ranked attraction.
“America’s Got Talent” finalist Seth Grabel and Four Queens headliner Mike Hammer enjoyed a private party hosted by fellow magician and Tropicana headliner Murray SawChuck over the weekend.
Lordes Leon, Madonna’s daughter enjoyed dinner at Top of the World Restaurant at the Stratosphere on Saturday night and also rode the three thrill rides at the top of the Las Vegas hotel: Tower X-Scream, Insanity and Big Shot.
After taping his Christmas special here last week, CeeLo Green stayed in town for an extra night and enjoyed dinner in a private VIP room at Strip House in Planet Hollywood, where his Christmas special was taped and where his new show “Loberace” will take place.
Amy Paffrath, host of MTV’s “Jersey Shore: After Hours,” attended Australia’s Thunder From Down Under at the Excalibur and posed with the hunky men afterwards.
Singer Michael Bublé attended Sir Elton John’s “The Million Dollar Piano” at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace during a recent visit.
On Sunday, actress Rose McGowan and her friend and actor Joel Michaely enjoyed a meal at Lavo in the Palazzo. The two took in the beautiful views of the Las Vegas Strip while dining on some of Lavo’s signature dishes.
That’s all of the celebrity news I have for today. I’ll be back tomorrow with much more.
