Marie Osmond of the headlining act and brother and sister duo Donny and Marie at the Flamingo is about to take a new step in her career and it doesn’t involve singing. The singer and entertainer will be a daytime talk show host on the Hallmark channel and has already shot the first episodes in L.A. She returned back to the Strip yesterday to begin another round of performances with her brother. Marie’s new daytime gig will begin on Oct. 1 when the network re-launches. Until then you can always catch Marie and Donny in their hit show with discounted tickets right here on Best of Vegas. And speaking of Las Vegas headliners, cast members from Recycled Percussion at the Tropicana and the sexy men of Chippendales at the Rio walked the red carpet for opening night of the sizzling new Las Vegas show ICandy Burlesque: the Show at Saxe Theater in Planet Hollywood over the weekend. In other Las Vegas news, Krave nightclub was the place to be this weekend as upcoming boy band Midnight Red showed the audience they have what it takes to make it big. On Thursday, “One Tree Hill” star Chad Michael Murray headed to Las Vegas to celebrate his birthday on the Strip. The actor turned 31 on Wednesday and kicked of his birthday festivities with some fun in the sun at Azure Pool at the Palazzo. The birthday boy was joined by his girlfriend and a small group of friends as they lounged poolside in private cabanas drinking and enjoying the pool’s luxury atmosphere. Also in town celebrating was actress Dania Ramirez who celebrated the premiere of her latest movie “Premium Rush” at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens in the Paris. The brunette beauty walked the red carpet blowing kisses to her fans as cameras snapped photos of her. Once inside the Las Vegas nightclub, Ramirez was joined by her fiancé, actor and director Bev Land and a group of friends. The entourage took over a VIP section where Ramirez danced and partied the night away. Earlier in the evening, Ramirez had dinner at Sugar Factory American Brasserie, stopping by the retail store afterwards where she signed a giant pink and black candy tin. NBA stars Ron Artest and Allen Iverson were also spotted at Chateau. The two athletes partied in their exclusive VIP booth and Artest even showed off his dance moves, making his way to the center of the dance floor as the crowd gathered around him. That’s all of the celebrity news I have for today. Check back tomorrow for lots more. Las Vegas, NV 08/28/12
