Michael Phelps hits the Las Vegas party scene at Hyde Bellagio
The Grammys in Hollywood on Sunday didn’t stop celebrities from making a stop here for parties, shows and nightclubs on Saturday. In fact, this weekend in The Entertainment Capital of the World brought in some pretty famous faces including one Olympic gold medalist, a few rockers and famous actors for some good old fashioned Las Vegas fun. Here is this weekend’s celebrity recap:

The most decorated athlete in Olympic history, Michael Phelps swam into Las Vegas this weekend making stops at two of Las Vegas’ hottest clubs - Ghostbar Dayclub in the Palms and Hyde Bellagio

It all started Saturday when Phelps and friends spent the afternoon at Ghostbar Dayclub 55 floors above the Strip. Phelps enjoyed the rowdy atmosphere at Ghostbar from a VIP table all afternoon.

And once the sun went down, Phelps and crew decided to take in some of the city’s best night life with a stop at Hyde Bellagio where they hung out at a VIP table overlooking the dance floor. Phelps danced and drank and even surprised party-goers when he jumped into the DJ booth and made some shout-outs. Phelps and his friends enjoyed the party at Hyde Bellagio until 3 a.m.

Also partying on the Strip Saturday night was rocker Sammy Hagar as he celebrated the third anniversary of his Cabo Wabo Cantina at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood with a free concert.

Just after 10 p.m., Hagar joined the house band Cabo Uno, welcomed fans and then launched into his hit “I Can’t Drive 55.” Hagar continued performing his hit songs which included “Mas Tequila,” Eagles Fly,” and the Van Halen song “Why Can’t This Be Love” for about an hour.

And speaking of rockers, Motley Crue front man Vince Neil celebrated his 52nd birthday at Vince Neil’s Girls, Girls, Girls Gentlemen’s Club on Saturday night.

Former ‘N Sync singer Lance Bass attended the 9:30 performance of The Beatles Love by Cirque du Soleil at the Mirage last Thursday. Accompanied by his mom and two friends, the group went backstage to greet the cast after the production. On Saturday night, “Glee” star Dot Jones watched the early performance of “O” by Cirque du Soleil at the Bellagio and actress and model Mila Jovovich enjoyed a family night at the early performance of Mystère by Cirque du Soleil at Treasure Island. Jovovich, who was joined by her daughter and some friends met some of the fellow Ukranians and colorful characters of the cast backstage before the performance.

That’s all of the celebrity news I have for today. I’ll be right back here tomorrow with much more.
