Mike Tyson Celebrates One-Man Show at Tabu Ultra Lounge

It was a “knockout” after-party when legendary boxer turned actor, Mike Tyson celebrated the grand opening of his one-man show Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth – Live on Stage at Tabu Ultra Lounge at MGM Grand on Saturday.

Tyson was greeted by family, friends and fans as he arrived to the ultra lounge immediately following his first performance at MGM Grand’s Hollywood Theatre. Once inside, Tyson was escorted to his VIP table overlooking the crowded venue. During the after-party he posed for photos with friends including fellow boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, Joe Jackson and Don “Magic” Juan.

Just after midnight, the Las Vegas nightclub brought Tyson a celebratory cake in the shape of a lion that also featured the boxer’s signature face tattoo as DJ Kid Jay congratulated him on the opening of his one-man show. Tabu’s go-go dancers also got into the boxing spirit when they dressed as boxers and also donned the famous face tattoo.

Earlier in the evening, the former Heavyweight Boxing champion shared the stories of his life and experiences as a professional athlete, discussing the controversies he’s faced both in the ring and out in his one-man show. Tyson was welcomed by a packed house full of friends, family, and celebrities including Sugar Ray Leonard, Piers Morgan, Rashida Ali, Luxor headliner Carrot Top, Michelle Money, Rosie O’Donnell, Andrew Dice Clay, George Lopez and more. Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth – Live on Stage has a limited run through April 18.

Also at MGM Grand over the weekend was Hercules: The Legendary Journeys star Kevin Sorbo as he attended the early performance of Ka by Cirque du Soleil.

Sorbo was in Las Vegas with his wife Sam visiting his parents to celebrate his mother Ardis’ 80th birthday. The group also enjoyed dinner at Wolfgang Puck before seeing the Las Vegas show. The Cirque production left Sorbo virtually speechless, but he did have this to say about the production, “Awesome show, the stage was amazing!”

Over at Tao in the Venetian Ricardo Laguna celebrated his 30th birthday. The BMX pro and reality TV star partied with 25 of his closest friends and was presented with a birthday cake from Gimme Some Sugar. Also at Tao was singer Brandy who took over a VIP table with two friends.

In other celebrity news, Canadian hockey player Ryan O’Byrne was seen sitting at a VIP table in the main room of Marquee in the Cosmopolitan and actor and former Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger enjoyed dinner with friends at Strip House inside Planet Hollywood on Saturday.

That’s all of the celebrity news I have for today but check back tomorrow for more.
