It was one of the wildest and most outrageous weekends in Sin City. With the three-day music festival Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the controversy over the Pacquiao/Bradley fight, there was little down time in Las Vegas. And with the celebrities filling the Strip for all of the excitement it was jam-packed weekend here. Here’s who and what you may have missed:
Electric Daisy Carnival at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway was one energetic, over-the-top, crazy festival, even despite it being shut down due to strong winds on its second night, but it was nothing compared to the celebrities that came into town to see the annual music festival.
There’s no better way to arrive at EDC than in a Maverick Helicopter, and Celebutant Paris Hilton took a ride in one of Las Vegas’ most excited modes of transportation. It’s also one of the best ways to see Las Vegas. Also at EDC, Brandon Davis, Shaun Phillps, Peepshow at Planet Hollywood starlet Holly Madison and her two B.F.F’s Angel Porrino of Absinthe and Laura Croft were all spotted at the Marquee VIP stage. On Saturday night, twin Internet entrepreneurs Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss took in the festival from Marquee’s VIP stage.
As EDC raged on The Entertainment Capital of the World also welcomed plenty of fight fans on Saturday night as Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley Jr. went head-to-head in the welterweight title fight at MGM Grand Garden Arena. The sold-out battle ended with Bradley a victor and a majority of viewers unhappy with the judges for that decision. Fans were so unhappy the judges are being labeled as the “three blind mice!” There are already rumors of a re-match here, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
And while it seemed like all of Hollywood was either partying at EDC or watching the fight at MGM Grand Garden Arena, there were a few celebrities enjoyed some good old-fashioned Sin City fun at some of Las Vegas’ most popular nightclubs. Actress and singer Ashley Tisdale partied the night away at Surrender Nightclub at Encore for “Splash Dance” Thursday” where she spent much of the night in a luxury bungalow overlooking the glamorous pool.
Also at the nighttime pool party was DJ Afrojack, who surprised party-goers when he performed a few of his hits. Former NBA player Jalen Rose was also spotted taking in the pool party from his cabana with a group of six friends and Paris Hilton, who is rumored to be dating DJ Afrojack and was in town for EDC also showed up to the splish and splash at the party with her friend Brandon Davis.
