Penn & Teller Celebrate 20 Years Entertaining in Las Vegas

Rio magician headliners Penn & Teller are celebrating their 20th anniversary in Las Vegas by turning back the clock this Friday night. Rumor has it that their 25-minute mini-show will include material they performed at Bally’s when they arrived on the Strip in 1993. The celebration is also expected to include Caesars Palace and Rio president Gary Selesner announcing their six-year contract extension followed by a party hosted by Vegas Magazine.

Evil Dead: The Musical recently announced that cast members would be hosting viewing parties every Sunday night for AMC’s hit zombie series, “The Walking Dead” at Hi Scores Bar-Arcade. The parties will include zombie movies on the screens prior to the show, trivia with prizes and entertainment during commercial breaks. “Ash” from Evil Dead: The Musical will even host his own trivia.

Former Peepshow at Planet Hollywood vixen and mom-to-be along with her boyfriend Pasquale Rotella hosted a baby shower at Madison’s favorite pregnancy eatery, Meatball Spot in Town Square on Saturday.

There to celebrate Madison and Rotella’s first baby was former Peepshow cast mate Josh Strickland, former “Holly’s World” cast mates Laura Croft and 2011 Playboy Playmate of the Year and new Stratosphere headliner Claire Sinclair, plus Alex Acuna, James Garrett, Todd DeBail, Tanya Popovich and Tara Palsha.

We can expect much more baby news from the cute couple as Madison is due any day now.

In other Las Vegas celebrity news, the cast of “Jersey Boys” at Paris teamed up with chef Jean Joho from the Eiffel Tower restaurant for a first-time cooking demonstration yesterday. As the boys cooked, lucky passersby were treated to their creations. The event was a fundraiser for Southern Nevada Red Cross Service to Armed Forces.

Meanwhile, blue collar comedy comedian and Mirage headliner Ron White recruited fellow comedians Kathleen Madifan, Ralphie May, Brian Regan, Josh Blue and John Caparulo for one hilarious comedy salute to benefit the Armed Forces Foundation yesterday. The show, which was at Terry Fator Theater, was recorded with a live audience for broadcast at a later date.

“We do our best to raise the soldiers’ spirits and at the same time raise funds for a great cause. It is an honor and a privilege and the duty of each of us to give back to those who give so much -- the bravest men and women on this planet” said Ron before the show. The scotch drinking, cigar-smoking comedian will return to the Mirage stage Friday, Feb. 15 and Saturday, Feb. 16 at 10:00 p.m. You can find discounted tickets right here on Best of Vegas.

That’s all of the celebrity news I have for today. Check back tomorrow for more and this weekend’s celebrity preview.
