|
The Venetian and the Palazzo continue their annual Carnevale events this weekend with a special appearance by famous painter and sculptor, Leonardo Da Vinci. The Venetian will host a comprehensive collection of the artist’ most famous works, including more than 200 pieces, 65 of his life-sized inventions, plus 3D replications of his most beloved works of art. There will be a total of 11 themed areas by Europe’s leading Da Vinci experts as well so if you want to learn more about Da Vinci- The Genius exhibit make sure you stop by the Venetian.
Da Vinci’s work aside, this weekend in The Entertainment Capital of the world will be all about music. Yes, even after the annual Electric Daisy Carnival last weekend the Strip is still bringing in musical acts you won’t want to miss. Tonight begins with Hawaiian rock band Pepper performing at Volcom in Miracle Mile Shops in Planet Hollywood and then at Soundwaves poolside in the Hard Rock Hotel. Weezer will also be poolside tonight when they perform at Mandalay Bay Beach. And speaking of Mandalay Bay, Scissor Sisters are at House of Blues.
If you could use a laugh or two tonight, don’t miss Kathleen Madigan as she makes her comedy debut at the Mirage. Comedian, actor and writer Rodney Carrington is at Hollywood Theater at MGM Grand and Rich Vos headlines at Empire Comedy at the Paris.
Tonight’s parties begin with DJ Spider and Derrick Anthony at Tryst in the Wynn. Tyga performs at Las Vegas’ newest nightclub 1 OAK in the Mirage. Wales will be at the Palms by day at Ditch Fridays and at nearby Rain by night and DJ Steve Aoki returns to the wheels of steel at Surrender in Steve Wynn’s Encore.
The concerts continue on Saturday with Nickelback and guests Bush, Seether and My Darkest Days at MGM Grand Garden Arena. New Edition and Bobby Brown are at the Theater for the Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood and Jesus and Mary Chain are at House of Blues.
Saturday night brings in Jermaine Dupri at Tryst. Dia Frampton hosts and performs at Pure in Caesars Palace. “True Blood” star Sam Trammell hosts at Gallery Nightclub inside Planet Hollywood and Ricardo Laguna hosts at Tao Beach in the Venetian.
The weekend rounds out with reality TV star Aubrey O’Day hosting DJ sets by Eric D-Lux and Shift at Rehab in the Hard Rock Hotel and Karmin hosting and performing at The Bank in the Bellagio.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! Have a great weekend and I’ll see you right back here on Monday for this weekend’s celebrity roundup.
