Beatles fans rejoice! The legendary drummer Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band is returning to Vegas this fall for an exclusive, limited engagement at Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino. It’s all a part of the band’s U.S. tour, which launches here October 13th with an eight-date stint through October 28.
Ringo Starr has remained a household name since breaking onto the music scene with The Beatles in the 1960s. After playing with the legendary group, Starr began his solo career and was an instant hit. He returns to Vegas a part of another band but you’ll still enjoy Starr’s solo hits and the band’s own new music.
The All-Starr band features an all-star lineup of musicians including multi-instrumentalist/art-pop singer-songwriter Todd Rundgren, keyboardist Gregg Rolie of Santana and Journey, guitarist Steve Lukather of Toto, bassist Richard Page of Mr. Mister, woodwind player Warren Ham of Bloodrock and Kansas and drummer Gregg Bissonette.
“The dream is still unfolding,” said Ringo in a statement. “I love to play, and I love to play with this band. I can’t say that enough, and we’re on the road again.”
Following his stop in Vegas, Starr and his band have confirmed 11 U.S. tour dates that end November 16 in Newark, New Jersey. Other cities included in the tour are El Paso and Austin, Texas; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; and New York City. The eight performances at Planet Hollywood are:
October: 13, 14, 17, 20, 21, 24, 27, 28
