Robert DeNiro helps Slice Open the New Nobu Hotel & Restaurant

There were definitely plenty of celebrities in town this past Super Bowl Weekend. But they weren’t necessarily in town to watch and/or bet on the big game. Some helped open Las Vegas restaurants, others celebrated birthdays and some just felt like being “blue.” Here’s who partied on the Strip this past Super Bowl Weekend.

Caesars Group opens a new restaurant and boutique hotel with the help of Robert DeNiro and Chef Nobu Matsuhisa.  The new Nobu Restaurant is the largest in the world and serves Chef Nobu’s signature Asian fusion with influences from California, Argentina, Peru, and Alaska. With a Japanese samurai sword, DeNiro and Chef Nobu with other sliced the ribbon that was being held by two models wearing nothing but stylish Origami dresses and sexy geisha makeup.

The new Nobu Hotel was originally the Centurion Tower at Caesars Palace, and was refurbished in 2011 to become Nobu Hotel, a unique boutique hotel that brings the calm and serene atmosphere of Nobu Restaurants to your Las Vegas hotel stay. Also at the grand opening was DeNiro’s wife Grace and Chef Gordon Ramsay.

And speaking about openings, actress and restaurateur Eva Longoria celebrated the grand opening of her new restaurant, SHe by Morton’s with a red carpet VIP party at the restaurant and nightlife venue in Crystals CityCenter at Aria on Saturday night.

Her guest list included business partner Tilman Fertitta, “The Bachelor” star Jake Pavelka, former U.S. House of Representatives member Gabrielle Giffords and her astronaut husband Mark Kelly, three bachelors from the new reality TV dating show “Ready for Love” for which Eva is executive producer and Bill Rancic and Giuliana Rancic host.

On Friday night, top baseball prospects and Las Vegas natives Jake Hager and Nick Kingham were spotted enjoying Blue Man Group at Monte Carlo. The MLB hopefuls stopped by the VIP room following the 7 p.m. performance for a private meet-and-greet. Both baseball players were given the chance to learn how to play the PVC pipes and pretended they were Blue Man Group by tossing some marshmallows around.

Friday night also brought in singer, songwriter and rapper Sean Kingston to Chateau Nightclub & Gardens in the Paris for his 23rd birthday celebration. The artist arrived at the Las Vegas nightclub just after 1 a.m. and immediately took his place in a VIP booth located on the main stage and was joined by his entourage, which included Soulja Boy.

Around 1:30 a.m. Chateau’s beautiful cocktail servers presented Kingston with a three-tier birthday cake resembling the cover of his latest single “Rum and Raybans.” Then at 2 a.m. Kingston took to the stage and began his birthday performance which included his hits “Take You There,” “Fire Burning” and “Letting Go.” He then handed the mic to Soulja Boy and asked him to perform his favorite song, which he happily did. As Soulja Boy began singing his hit “Turn My Swag On” the crowd went wild. The two partied into the early hours of Saturday morning.

That’s all of the celebrity news I have for today. I’ll be back tomorrow with much more.
