“If you want my body and you think I’m sexy” come and see Rod Stewart
perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace
on Wednesday, Jan. 23.
He’s back! Stewart is back at Caesars Palace with his hit show “Rod Stewart: The Hits” for a nine show run through Feb. 9. And if you want to hear a culmination of some of Stewart’s biggest hits including one of our favorites, “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy” you can find discounted tickets right here on Best of Vegas.
We haven’t seen Rod Stewart in Las Vegas since October so we’re excited to see and hear from the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer and Grammy winner. If you’re planning a Rod Stewart visit this month or next here’s what you can expect from the raspy-voiced singer and his hit concert:
When you think of a Rod Stewart concert you may think of an intimate performance but Rod Stewart: The Hits is surprisingly private. The show has been designed to offer guests a unique and up-close experience, with no fan more than 120 feet from the stage. Because of the close proximity, Stewart like to pulls members of the audience onstage with him or go out into the audience for a serenade.
And what songs exactly will Stewart serenade you with? His biggest hits over his decades long career of course including “Maggie May,” “Rhythm of My Heart,” “ “Forever Young,” “Hot Legs,” “You’re In My Heart,” “Tonight’s the Night,” “You Wear it Well,” “Some Guys Have All The Luck” and “Shake Your Money Maker” along with surprise cover songs like “The Killing of Georgie (Part 1 & 2),” “Broken Arrow” and “Infatuation.”
It’s no surprise Caesars Palace picked up Rod Stewart as a part of their impressive residency line up. Having recently wrapped the Heart & Soul Tour with Stevie Nicks, which is the #2 highest grossing tour on Billboard’s 2011 Boxscore chart, the musician has garnered high praise for his touring abilities. The New York Post declared Stewart, “forever young,” US Weekly called his set list “…a non-stop jam session” and The Globe and Mail who said, “Rod Stewart competes with no one.”
And that’s just the success he’s experienced in the past two years. Aside from his concert praise, Stewart has impressed with his album sales with an estimated 250 million album and single sales. Of those singles he has 62 hit singles worldwide with 24 that reached the top 10 and six of which gained the number one position. He’s also been nominated for 18 Grammys for “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album,” was honored with the ASCAP Founders Award for his songwriting and his voice has been hailed as one of the most distinctive voices in pop music.
To experience one of the greats in the music industry, don’t miss Rod Stewart starting this Wednesday, Jan. 23 with tickets right here on Best of Vegas.
