The Stars Come out for 2012 CinemaCon at Caesars Palace

Hollywood is empty today, as the stars have descended upon the Strip for the 2012 CinemaCon event. The largest and most important gathering of global movie-theater owners began yesterday at Caesars Palace sand runs for the next three-days with appearances by celebrities Sylvester Stallone, Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron, Cameron Diaz, Michelle Pfeiffer and Jennifer Garner. CinemaCon welcomes more than 5,000 professionals from the cinema industry for movie previews, award ceremonies, panel discussions and a trade show.

Yesterday, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson joined co-stars D.J. Cotrona, Adrianne Palicki, director Jon Chu and producer Lorenzo de Bonaventure from “G.I. Joe: Retaliation”; Chris Rock from “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted”; and Chris Pine with director Peter Ramsey from “Rise of the Guardians” all made red carpet appearances at the gala world-premiere event.

Today, Former Senator Chris Dodd, who is now the president and CEO of the motion Picture Association of America is guest speaker during the “State of the Industry.”

Tomorrow, Jack Black, Cameron Diaz and Antonio Banderas present the 2012 Pioneer of the Year Award to Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO of DreamWorks Animation, at a Caesars Palace dinner while Oscar-winning filmmakers Martin Scorsese and Ang Lee lead the panel “Filmmaking Today, Tomorrow & Beyond.”

It was a fashionable evening at Las Vegas’ newest nightclub 1 OAK at the Mirage when fashion models Constance Jablonski and Charlotte Di Calypso celebrated their birthdays there on Saturday during the club’s I Love NY weekly party.

The gorgeous girls were greeted by a parade of lovely ladies holding up electronic sparklers as they were escorted inside the nightclub to their table where their super model friends Daria Strokous, Patricia Van Der Vilet, Mirte Mass, Elko Mihalik, Camile Hubert, Ieva Laguna, Mathilde Frachon and Jill Bauwens joined them.

After being presented with birthday a cake around 1:30 a.m. the birthday girls and club goers were surprised by a special performance by Dirty Nasty (Simon Rex) and rapper Beardo. And that wasn’t even the highlight of the night. Famed rapper and reality TV star Flava Flav was looking to reclaim his 15 minutes of fame and did so as he jumped on the mic for an impromptu show.

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Mya watched Criss Angel’s “Believe” at the Luxor before performing at LAX Nightclub this past weekend. Lance Bass of ‘N SYNC dined at Tao with friends while Electro-pop duo Blackcards spun at Pure in Caesars Palace.

Peepshow at Planet Hollywood star and animal lover Holly Madison joined Flamingo headliner Nathan Burton on Sunday to introduce 50 animal contestants competing in the 9th Annual Best in Show at the Orleans Arena.

That’s all of the celebrity news I have for today but check back tomorrow for more.
