“One Night for ONE Drop” will celebrate its 5th anniversary with award-winning musical group The Tenors. Taking place at the Zumanity
Theatre in New York-New York Hotel & Casino, the vocal trio will share the stage with Cirque du Soleil artists, performing iconic rock songs. The annual production supports safe water access programs worldwide.
“It is an honour and a thrill to be working with One Drop in such a creative way,” said The Tenors in a statement. “The incredible imaginations of everyone involved are absolutely inspiring, and we’re looking forward to performing legendary rock music for this spectacular show.”
Krista Monson, director of creation for the show, said in a statement, “With their unique style, unforgettable charm and outstanding vocal talent, we’re incredibly thankful to have them on board. Not only will they bring their sublime artistry and talent to the show, but the directors have given The Tenors roles that propel the story to add yet another level of meaning and powerful significance to their performance. With the added creativity of The Tenors, the result will be truly momentous.”
This year’s “One Night for One Drop” will focus on the concept of time, drawing inspiration from the phrase “We are the first generation to feel the impact of climate change and the last generation to do something about it.” The show will build on the concept of time running out through the journey of a circus ringmaster, who represents humanity and its treatment of Mother Earth, and his loyal assistant. During the production, the Ringmaster has the opportunity to travel back in time to witness his younger self in the vintage circus. He soon realizes his mistakes and wishes to fix his feelings of regret. The show asks the question “is it too late?”
After the production, The Tenors will show off their powerhouse vocals in a spectacular finale. Stay tuned for more details on The Tenors and “One Night for One Drop.”
