Weekend Preview: George Lopez honored in Wax at Madame Tussauds
|
Comedy, Rock and roll and a Kardashian make up this weekend’s celebrity guests in The Entertainment Capital of the World. So get ready to laugh, rock and become a part of the Kardashian klan. Here is the weekend’s celebrity preview:
The celebrities will hit the town tonight beginning at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens in the Paris as Dania Ramirez celebrates the “Premium Rush” premiere. Daniel Chetrir celebrates his birthday and guest DJs at 1 OAK at the Mirage. Rappers Lil Jon and Ken Loi are at Surrender. Dave Aude is at Haze in Aria and Derek Martinez is at Marquee in the Cosmopolitan. Khloe Kardashian Odom fans will get the chance to meet the reality TV star during her Unbreakable Bond fragrance event at the family’s new boutique store Kardashian Khaos at the Mirage.
Comedy is king this weekend with SNL Alum Kevin Nealon will bring his laughs to the Orleans Casino tonight and Saturday and George Lopez headlines at the Mirage both tonight and Saturday. And speaking of George Lopez, if you want to see the comedian face to face you can do so at Madame Tussauds with their newest wax figure. The wax museum unveiled a wax figure of Lopez in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month on Thursday.
LAX Nightclub in the Luxor is bound to host one of the hottest parties on the Strip this weekend as the nightclub celebrates its fifth anniversary. And to help them commemorate the anniversary will be the sexy ladies of MGM Grand’s Crazy Horse Paris. Meanwhile “True Blood” and “Californication” starlet Camilia Luddington will spend an evening with fans at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens in the Paris.
Sunday funday rocks out wit the third annual Vegas Rocks! Magazine Awards at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel. Rock and roll veteran Sammy Hagar will certainly be the rocker of the night as he will be awarded with the Voice of Rock Award.
David Coverdale from Whitesnake, Micahel Schenker from the Scorpions, Geoff Tate from Queensryche and Vinnie Paul from Pantera and Hellyeah will also pick up awards at the annual event. Coverdale will take home the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Several of Las Vegas’ own headliners are also set to walk the red carpet including Chris Phillips of Zowie Bowie and Stratosphere headliner Frankie Moreno. Hip-hop sensation Nelly will even get in on the rock and roll action as he hosts at Hard Rock’s Rehab party earlier on Sunday.
That’s all of the celebrity news I have for the weekend. Check back Monday for this weekend’s complete celebrity rundown. Have a great weekend!
