The Entertainment Capital of the World is earning its name this month with comedy routines, boxing matches, music awards and show anniversaries, making for one entertaining May. Here’s what not to miss this month in Vegas: Comedy There’s something funny going on in Las Vegas this month and it all starts this weekend when Golden Globe winning actor and comedian Tim Allen brings his adult-only comedy to the Venetian Friday, May 4 and Saturday May 5. The “Home Improvement” star is back and he’s eager to prove to the audience that he’s funny both on camera and off. On May 21, the “Best Comedian in Las Vegas” Rita Rudner will bring her one person comedy show to the Las Vegas hotel for one night of clever observations, sharp timing and soft-spoken humor. Over at the Mirage it’s nothing but comedic rants as the Grammy-Award winning and star of Comedy Central’s hit show “The Root of All Evil” Lewis Black brings his scathing commentaries on history, politics and life’s mysteries to the stage Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19. The next weekend “The Tonight Show” host and comedian Jay Leno returns to the stage with his clever and oh-so witty act for one night only on May 25. Then the Mirage welcomed the cigar smoking, scotch drinking comedian Ron “Tater Salad” White as he brings his blue-collar comedy routine to the stage for two nights in a show you won’t want to miss. The laughs continue at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with the comedy sensation Russell Peters. With his observational humor and the guts to say what others won’t dare, Peters is one of the most successful and risqué comedians in the industry right now.
