Finding celebrities in Las Vegas is very often a simple matter of logic. Celebrities have a lot of money, and they like living in luxury; therefore, they like to stay in luxurious hotels. And few hotels are more luxurious than The Palazzo, the Venetian’s ritzy sister resort. Guests entering the lobby of this $1.8 billion resort find themselves under a 60-foot glass dome with a two-story fountain. And stars, in particular, love that you can enter the Palazzo from an underground parking structure below the resort – it gives the paparazzi less opportunities to take your picture.
However, great parking isn’t why stars come to this resort. The all-suites Palazzo features beautifully appointed guest rooms that give new meaning to the word opulence. Each suite has three LCD TVs, dual vanities, separate soaking tubs, marble showers, and remote control draperies. You could watch TV, soak in the tub, and open the drapes all at the same time while never having to get up. We’re not sure why you would, but it’s fun knowing that you could do it if you wanted.
With some of the most upscale designer boutiques on the Strip, the Shoppes at the Palazzo are a star’s dream. Sarah Jessica Parker can get some serious designer shoe action here; there’s a Manolo Blahnik and a Jimmy Choo boutique just waiting to adorn her feet. Celebs such as Rebecca Romijn and Nicolette Sheridan are just a few of the famous femmes who have been drawn away from Rodeo Drive by the Palazzo’s Shoppes.
And everyone knows that dining in style is the supreme celebrity activity. At the Palazzo, not only can stars be found eating at the restaurants, they can be found in the kitchen as well. Celebrity chefs Emeril Lagasse, Wolfgang Puck, and Mario Batali all head restaurants in this ultra-luxury resort. There’s no guarantee that these stars of food will be the ones cooking your meal, but you never know when they might be in town checking on their restaurants. And if you truly want to see some stars, the Palazzo’s LAVO Restaurant, Nightclub, and Lounge is a sure thing. Celebrities such as Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon love drinking and dining in this Mediterranean-inspired environment.
With all the glamour and sophistication of this five-star resort, you won’t have to look very hard to find a celebrity. You may, however, have such a good time at the Palazzo that you forget all about seeking stars.
