TAO

When it comes to trendy places to eat in Vegas, TAO Asian Bistro is at the top of the list. A sleek and exotic design along with delicious pan-Asian dishes have made this restaurant one of the hottest celebrity spots in town. A hand-carved 20-foot Buddha statue rests in the center of the restaurant, watching over patrons and giving the dining room a Zen-like feel. The perfect retreat for celebrities escaping from Los Angeles, the restaurant prides itself on its calm and relaxed ambience.

Specializing in Hong Kong Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisine, TAO’s master chefs have created a menu full of traditional Asian dishes fused with some all-American favorites. Celebrities love the sushi bar, as well as the signature martinis. Although TAO is mostly open space, there are a few private dining areas for celebrities to hide out. However, these dining rooms are hard to get, even for celebrities, making it even more likely that you’ll spot some stars noshing on Kobe beef and lobster wontons right in your line of sight.

TAO has been frequented by stars like Rosario Dawson, Katherine McPhee, Jamie Foxx, Usher, and Pamela Anderson. TAO is also a popular spot for celebrities after hours, when it seamlessly transforms from an upscale restaurant to one of the hottest lounges in town. Stars love to relax with an ice-cold cocktail in one of TAO’s many private seating areas, including the roof’s poolside patio, TAO Beach. Comfy couches and oversized chairs line the lounge area at TAO.

On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, TAO becomes a complete nightclub experience. Under Buddha’s eye, the stars dance, dine, and drink the night away. They especially enjoy the Noir Bar, which selects its guests exclusively and is off-limits to cameras. Celebs like Nick Lachey and Vanessa Manillo have enjoyed a private moment or two in here.

TAO is also a hotspot for celebrity parties; Jennifer Lopez threw her husband Marc Anthony a 38th birthday party here, and actress Kate Walsh spent her bachelorette party here along with former Gray’s Anatomy co-star Sara Ramirez. Like in any club, the celebrities can often be found in VIP booths on the second floor. It features a balcony overlooking the main dance area, from which celebrities hosting the night’s festivities can look down on the crowd and wave to their adoring fans.
