Description
In operation since 1966, the Four Queens Hotel and Casino has been a longtime downtown Vegas institution ever since the owner christened it after his wife and three daughters. Over the years, the resort has evolved and changed hands, and now it occupies an entire city block in the heart of Fremont Street. However, this once small resort still concentrates on delivering quality accommodations and classic Vegas gaming and entertainment.
The Four Queens features 690 hotel rooms, including 45 suites, a 32,000 square-foot casino, various restaurants and cocktail lounges, and over 2,000 square feet of meeting space. Known for its especially friendly, hospitable staff and its affordable rates, anyone looking to have a pleasant stay in Las Vegas on a budget will appreciate this downtown gem.
Guests will enjoy a comfortable albeit no frills stay at the Four Queens, in rooms that are small but clean and newly remodeled. Each room, available in smoking or non-smoking, features a 32” HD flat panel TV, coffeemaker, in-room safe, hair dryer, iron and full size ironing boards. Extra amenities available for a fee include in-room refrigerators, pay-per-view movies, and high-speed wireless Internet access. The décor in each room is simple, with elegant dark wood furnishings, colorful art on the walls, and matching bedspreads and window dressings. Suites are slightly bigger and equipped with conversation areas, Jacuzzi spas in the bathroom, and dining room areas in the Deluxe Suites.
If you’re looking for action, you’re bound to find it on the Four Queens’ casino floor. A haven for gaming lovers, it features the latest slots like Megabucks, Zorro, Wheel of Fortune, and more. Table games are well represented here, with everything from roulette and keno to Three Card poker, Pai Gow, Texas Hold’em, and much more. There’s also a Keno Lounge and Sports Book where guests can try their hand at winning $1 million in the casino’s Keno progressive game.
Between all that gambling, guests are bound to get hungry sometime, and they can satiate their appetite at one of Four Queens’ four restaurants. Among them is the award-winning Hugo’s Cellar, the ideal spot for a romantic nighttime rendezvous. Modeled after a European wine cellar, this intimate eatery offers gourmet steaks and seafood along with a rose to every lady in the house. Tasty but casual meals can also be had at Magnolia’s Veranda, which offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a refreshing beer can be had at Chicago Brewing Company.
