There are many hotels right on the Strip that offer great deals. However, some of the best deals in town are just off the Strip. Some budget Off-Strip hotels include Palace Station, Sunset Station, and the Orleans. Most of the Off-Strip hotels still offer all the gaming action that you would find on the Strip and many are located within just blocks of Las Vegas Blvd, so you are never too far from all the entertainment that Las Vegas has to offer. The Orleans offers very reasonable accommodations and a fun Mardi Gras theme while Palace Station and Sunset Station are less theme-oriented.

Another option is to stay in downtown Las Vegas. Hotels in downtown Las Vegas offer great prices to lure in guests to the older section of town, along Fremont Street. The hotels on Fremont Street all have great views of the nightly Fremont Street Experience light show and parade. The hotels along this Strip are covered by a dome ceiling that plays spectacular light and music shows nightly. Hotels in downtown Las Vegas include the Golden Nugget, Fremont, and El Cortez. All of these resorts offer full-service casinos and discount dining and nightlife options. In general, you will notice that prices in downtown Las Vegas will be better than on the Strip.

As a general rule, there are no bad hotels on the Strip. Less-expensive options may not offer the service or amenities that the luxury resorts have, but these hotels are generally much better than you would expect for the price. The Sahara, Monte Carlo, and Imperial Palace offer great prices as well as a central location right on the Strip. The Sahara offers a fun desert theme and is one of the older properties on the Strip. The Sahara is also centrally located. The Monte Carlo offers the best location right in the center of the Strip and often has great prices and discounts. The Imperial Palace has a fun Asian theme and a full service casino and is also located right on the Strip. As a general rule, in order to get the best prices at any hotel you should book your room well in advance.
