Golden Nugget Room Review

The Golden Nugget is one of the most recognized hotels in downtown Las Vegas. It’s a favorite among old and new Las Vegas travelers alike and since the hotel recent renovations; the Golden Nugget is attracting a whole new crowd to the downtown area. New contemporary rooms have luxury furniture, flat screen TVs, and plenty of luxury amenities.

Standard guest rooms are well accommodated and offer great prices for those on a budget. They offer comfortable bedding, irons and ironing boards, cable, internet, in-room safes, and writing desks. The rooms are decorated in muted beige colors that tone down some of the glitzy décor you will find outside your room in the rest of the hotel.

For those requiring more space, the Parlor Suites are a nice option. All suites at Golden Nugget are individually designed so no-two are exactly alike. The individual décor gives the suites a more intimate feel than the mass-produced guest rooms common to most hotels. While most Parlor Suites are reserved for the hotel’s high-rollers, some are available to the public during the week. Each room is equipped with whirlpool spas, dual vanities and tons of other luxury amenities. Another style of luxury accommodations is the spa suites. Enter through the luxurious double doors and you will feel like royalty. These suites offer plush couches, spa tubs, shoeshine machines, coffee makers, and excellent views of downtown. Guests of the parlor and spa suites also enjoy VIP check-in and other upgraded concierge services.

The newly renovated rooms are now known as the Gold Club Rooms and are very sleek and modern. Once you walk in side one of these rooms, you will hardly believe you are at the supposedly “old Las Vegas” hotel. The Gold Club Rooms look as nice as anything you would expect to find in any of the new luxury mega-casinos on the Strip. Plush linens, down comforters, and pillow-top mattresses make these beds the most comfortable in downtown Las Vegas. The bathrooms are truly unique with his and hers vanities and trendy vessel sinks. You’ll also find a backlit vanity mirror, fresh flowers, spa-quality toiletries, a separate glass enclosed shower, soaking tubs, and a plasma TV built right into the mirror. The modern furnishings in the room put everything close at hand. The desk doubles as an entertainment center with plasma TV. There are also large leather couches, chairs, and a dining area. These Gold Club Rooms are a hidden gem among many of the standard rooms that people are used to finding on this end of town.
