Golden Nugget Lobby

The Golden Nugget brings a little bit of the glitz and glamour of the strip to the more subdued downtown area of Las Vegas. As soon as you step in the hotel, you will be overwhelmed by the pristine white lobby with gold and crystal chandeliers hanging above your head. Although not nearly as intimidating as some of the giant resorts found on the strip, the Golden Nugget has all the class of Vegas rapped into one neat little package.
The hotel lobby gives visitors a sparkling hint at old Las Vegas. Looking around, you may feel as if Elvis could come walking down the stairs at any moment and he wouldn’t look a bit out of place among the glitzy entryway to the Golden Nugget. In traditional fashion, the hotel lobby is actually one of the first things you see when entering the hotel. In other words, you aren’t staring a slot machine in the face the second you open the door.
Near the front desk, marble columns separate the large space and the desk itself is also made of marble. The front desk feels more like a palace than a check-in area and it can be a little intimidating for such a relaxed hotel. But don’t forget that this is what downtown Las Vegas is all about; mixing a casual atmosphere with the glamour that Vegas is famous for. With such a clean and shiny feel to it, you’ll know that you made the right hotel choice as soon as you step into the lobby.
