Senior-Citizen Discounts

It is no secret that the elderly love discounts! Although Vegas can be a very expensive town, there are several places that seniors can go to save a few dollars and still have a fun time. Many of the casinos offer discounts on buffets for seniors and there are plenty of places downtown that offer cheap gambling.

A great meal is never too far away in Las Vegas. While the Wynn and the Planet Hollywood have some world-class buffets, but not everyone wants to shell out that kind of money just for one meal. For some discount buffets that offer senior-citizens discounts we suggest the Riviera and the El Cortez are both located downtown and offer great meals that aren’t fancy or overdone. Some buffets in town are getting pretty adventurous these days by offering fancy things like sushi or other ethnic dishes. While this may seem great for some, many senior citizens are mostly looking for simple home-cooked meals at a great price. Another great place for seniors to grab some grub is at the many café and coffee shops around town. Many hotels offer 24 hour cafes with traditional dishes served at great prices. Also, many cafes offer discounts for senior-citizens as well. Large portions and traditional American cuisine is both cheap and filing. Some recommendations include the Café at Harrah’s which offers over 100 freshly prepared menu items making it the perfect place for the whole family to enjoy. Everyone can find something they like and it is open 24 hours, making it the perfect breakfast spot for early risers.

When it comes to gambling or choosing a hotel, the downtown hotels are great. However, if you want to stay on the Strip the Station casinos (i.e. Sunset Station and Palace Station) offer great rates as well as lots of less expensive gambling options. Penny slots and bingo machines aren’t that hard to find in Las Vegas if you know where to look. Hotels like Palace Station, Red Rock, and Sunset Station all have great bingo parlors that will provide hours of entertainment.
