Ways to Save Money

Traveling to Las Vegas can easily turn into a very expensive vacation if you aren’t careful. When it comes to saving money there area few rules that every vacationer must know. The first tip for saving money in Las Vegas is to always plan ahead. Do your research and make sure that you know which shows you want to see before you get there. Make sure to buy all your show tickets well in advance and then plan the rest of your vacation around the shows that you booked. Although planning is great, don’t over plan and leave no time for sightseeing. One of the best ways to save money in Las Vegas is by spending at least one night of your vacation just walking the Strip and enjoying all of the free shows.

When it comes to dining out, Las Vegas is one of the most expensive destinations in the world. Ironically, Las Vegas also happens to be the buffet capital of the world. Almost every hotel on the Strip has its own buffet. A great way to save money on dining is by taking advantage of your hotel’s buffet for breakfast. The breakfast buffet at most hotels is under $10 and it’s easy to fill up with all the great options. Eat a large breakfast and then just have a snack for lunch while walking the Strip. This will free up extra money for an upscale dinner at one of the nicer restaurants in town. Don’t waste lots of money on breakfast or lunch. Many of the best restaurants in town are only open for dinner so save your money and enjoy nice dinners while you are in Las Vegas.

Another thing that many people spend all of their money on is transportation. A great way to save money in Las Vegas is by taking the monorail and walking instead of taking cabs. The monorail travels from the north to the south end of the Strip making stops at the Sahara, Las Vegas Hilton, Las Vegas Convention Center, Harrah’s, Flamingo, Bally’s, and the MGM Grand. The entire route takes only 15 minutes and the rest of the hotels are a short walking distance from one of the stops. The monorail is almost as quick as using a cab if you know where the stops are and you will save plenty of money by doing so.
