If you are looking for a fun and educational places to bring your kids, they really aren’t hard to find. In fact, almost every hotel on the Strip is trying more and more to gear their attractions towards kids and families. Animal habitats are a favorite for kids in Las Vegas. Visit the Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand or the Secret Garden at the Mirage to see live wild animals up close and personal. Another fun place to take kids is to the underground aquarium Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay.

The Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand is perfect for kids. They can get right up close to the lions as well as take pictures of them through a glass wall that encloses their habitat. Lions at the MGM Grand only spend a few hours a day in the habitat and are then transported to a ranch where they live comfortable in an open environment; this way the lions are never restless or agitated. If you are looking to see something rare, visit the Secret Garden at the Mirage. At the Secret Garden you will see Siegfried and Roy’s Famous white tigers. You can also partake in a fun experience at the Dolphin Exhibit. True dolphin lovers can even become a trainer for a day and swim in the tank with the dolphins.

A great exhibit for kids is the Shark Reef aquarium at Mandalay Bay. This aquarium is the only predator-based aquarium in the country that has tunnels for guests to walk through. Kids will learn all about their favorite sea creatures and even feel like they are one of them as secret passageways take you below the surface and actually inside the aquarium.
